But Lion, how else would we appease those 6 year olds who hold their breath, cross their arms, stomp their foot and cry "I want a quarterback, now!"

In effect said they're not trading down, not trading for a QB and taking Garrett at #1.

So far, so good.

The browns have successfully made it such that nobody knows what the hell they're going to do at #1, #12 or at the QB spot. In just the last week there are rumors that they are going to trade up with the jets to take trubisky, but they also like mahomes the best, and secretly like watson more than anyone else. there have been rumors that hue jackson wants garrett but the front office wants a qb, all while hue jackson is pounding the table to take his qb at #1 while the front office wants to go with garrett because "analytics".

If I'm taking the optimistic position, this is the browns playing all angles to see what exactly the teams between #1 and #12 are looking to do, and how they can leverage that one way or the other, or get a grasp of who might fall in their laps at #12.

this is more like something the browns would do.. i fully expect trading next years 1st + others to get into the back end of the first round to take Dobbs now.
