Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

Idiots are looking at Leicester City winning the EPL and saying it could happen here...problem is it would be like New Mills winning the EPL, not Leicester

Well, yeah, not to mention that to follow the Leicester city model... it would be more like suck this year... (if we want to call this rebuild their... promotion) then suck for about half of next year but playing people tough, then starting to win games like crazy in the second half of the season THEN in 17-18 people mistaking that surge as a fluke, calling them the same old Browns... then have them go on an improbable run to the best record in the NFL, that while seemingly unlikely at least had some precedent in the end of the previous season. (note, that doesn't even really mean winning in the playoffs exactly, since that's an added layer that really doesn't exist in EPL)

I'm confused. Browns fans consider getting the first pick in the draft the Super Bowl. So, what exactly is this other Super Bowl they are referring to?

Well, this will also be rather confusing for everyone given that Philadelphia looks to be entering full tank mode as well. (except tanking in the NFC east has to be really hard, doesn't it?)

Brian Billick says Browns could go 0-16, Hue Jackson calls prediction unfair

On one hand, it's certainly easy to understand why NFL Network analyst and former Ravens coach Brian Billick would predict the Browns to fall flat on their faces in 2016. It's annual event in Cleveland, as hope quickly gives way to reality and, ultimately, sadness and resignation to one's fate. On the other hand, since returning to Cleveland in 1999, the Browns have never won fewer than two games (and that was in the inaugural season), so a lot would have to go wrong for the team to go 0-16, which Billick predicted recently.

It would be unfair to say that the players and coaches hope to lose every game. It is not, however, unfair to say they might. What a fucked up year it could be, Cavs bring a title, Indians to the playoffs, and Browns 0-20
