Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

Again, though...this is all an assumption based on a two game tryout early last season in a different offense. Two games is not enough to convince me he's even a decent game manager. He's just as likely to fall flat on his face as he is to develop into an even mediocre qb based on the amount of evidence we have. All he's proven thus far is that he's better than Brandon Weeden.

I'm just going for 0.500 ... I didn't say he was even as good as Flacco... which is bad... I agree he's better than Weeden. That still offers more stability than the Manziel Show.

You point blank said you'd prefer Cleveland to lose this year so johnny is a failure. It's just pathetic.
Prefer is cheering that's a new one. Pathetic is what the second coming of this franchise is, I'm simply just awaiting the next chapter. I guess you see much more reason for hope than I do...

Call it pathetic if you want but to me it's looking at this from a long term view.. The sooner Jony is out of Cleveland sooner we can move on to the next big thing... And honestly if it was Brotles, Bidgewater or someone else, I'd be saying the same thing.

The only difference is that Bortles has elite NFL measurables and by all accounts, a solid camp and sterling pre- season debut.

Neither of those things apply to Manziel.

He's a game manager. And for now, that's enough with the defense they've put together.... to at least reach .500 (yes, the Browns aspire to be the Indians... but that's how pathetic this front office is)
I'd rather have something stable like a mediocre Hoyer rather than the circus that Manziel / Grossman would turn into. We've seen that over-rated-1st-round-QB circus quite a few times already.

.500 is the measuring stick this year. When you haven't lost less than 6 games in their "new" existence and only been at or above .500 2 times in 15 seasons, .500 is clearly a barrier, so I agree with you there.

Arguing semantics when called out for hoping your team fails so you can be right on a message board. Solid move.

He isn't hoping the team fails, just money badger. Which hopefully when it does happen is a quick and obvious process that way the front office can go back about their business of investing another high pick into a [Mark May]ty QB.

Which he hopes for entirely because he deals with certain CFB fans, and declared strongly he didn't like the draft pick on a message board, which is pathetic. But shouldn't you be lamenting the success Cleveland had in 2007 with Edwards and Winslow?

Minus the knee issues - Winslow didn't bother me. Sure his attitude left something to be desired and his like bike stunt didn't help anything. Hard to doubt his talent when healthy.
As Buckeye fans we had the opportunity to see it first hand.

Again, the only problem I had drafting Edwards was that he was a smiley scUMmer. His inconsistent hands were a distant 2nd.

Yes, amazing how all those college issues and dumb stuff they did in the pros was forgotten when they produced. Thanks for proving my point.

:slappy: So I'm not allowed to to question the teams draft picks or express my personal opinions on players on this message board... got it...

nice generalization, I deal with one Fan and that's my ENTIRE reason for wanting him to fail... It has nothing to do with actually having watched him play CFB, and evaluating him as not a good prospect to be an NFL QB, both because of on the field play and his off the field partying. I get it ... I'm an asshole but I'm OK with that.

and just for semantics sake here.. since we all love them:

Jony can fail and the Brown still can win - see I CHOOSE POSITIVITY

I'm not sure what you're attempting to compare here? The vile spewed towards Manziel on this board is both a combination of his attitude and perceived lack of talent at the pro level.

The only parallel you can draw between Money Badger and Da Solider is that as Buckeyes and Browns fans we didn't like Winslow's attitude. His game was top notch coming out into the draft. He was going to be a weapon where ever he lined up. That said, when Winslow arrived, aside from his bike issue which was really a matter of being skilled on two wheels or not - you never saw him party with money phones, giants inflatable swan's or doing lines in a Vegas bathroom. So Manziel's personality has endeared him less to some of us.

Again, I can't make more clear. I didn't want Edwards. He had one good year. One. I'm not proving your post at all. I didn't like Edwards because he is a weasel, sure didn't like his game either.

And as I said and you didn't refute, you had no problem with Edwards when he was putting up 1400 yard seasons nor soldja boy when he was throwing up 1000 yard seasons as a te. So you're proving my point just fine. Thanks.
