Now, I get that the Oline played average and the receivers slipped a little. I said the same thing regarding this team when Hoyer played. But god damn, the multiple times he had a clean pocket he bailed.

What was telling to me was the zero blitz the Bungles sent in the 3rd. Newman on Gordon in off coverage. Gordon broke to the slant because there was nobody underneath to stop him and instead of throwing hot, Johnny retreats from the pocket and nearly throws a pick.

I understand Hoyer is an average QB, I know. At least he would have stood in there, made the throw and taken the shot. Manziel is flat out afraid of contact that he doesn't initiate.

Just saw the final score. I'm guessing Manziel was awesome and the fault lies elsewhere with the oc/OLine/WR? Please tell me we aren't going to be looking for another QB in a draft that might be considered worse than last years?

Good news is we won't be high enough in the draft to have a QB come into play without mortaging the farm. I know Farmer isn't dumb enough to give away picks for Mariotta or Crabby Patty, so I"m not too worried about it.
I still want a top flight 3 tech Dline, another playmaker on offense, Oline depth and another inside backer.

Defense didn't do the offense any favors, but holy fuck boys. That was just embarrassing. Manziel apparantley thinks the NFL is just like Texas A&M. Everything that I dislike about him as a QB showed up today. I know he's capable of being better, and can provide a spark, and I won't fly off the handle from his first NFL start, but I've never been a fan and still believe it was a wasted pick. He'll always be a douche knozzle me.

Hope I'm wrong.
