Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

It is the browns we are talking about...nothing is off the table with these guys

49ers - Gordon for Phil Dawson back!

Cundiff 11/13 long of 51
Dawson 9/12 long of 44

Cundiff also seems to be better at touchbacks than Dawson was. All Browns fans loved Dawson and Cribbs, but I don't really have a problem letting both walk. I would just like to see the Browns find the next young guy that can learn to kick in Cleveland and be around for 10+ years. They seem to be holding onto Bogotay so he might be the guy.

I'm not saying I want Dawson back. I'm saying the Browns would pull a Browns and do a trade like Gordon for Dawson

I'd bet on them and the Niners.

Don't forget the Patriots...

It sounds like teams keep calling about Gordon, but the Browns see more value in him than what teams are willing to offer to get him. The guy has the talent to be one of the top 5-10 WR's in the NFL so you aren't going to be able to get that kind of production even with a late first round pick. The only reason you would even think about dealing him is if you think he is going to get the third strike. Honestly if I'm a team trying to trade for Gordon I'd be worried if the Browns took my offer because that probably means they know something I don't. If the Browns think that he has changed for the better and isn't a risk to fail another test there is no way they even think about moving him.

Really if I was the Browns I ask for the moon for Gordon. The Browns really don't want to trade him because he has talent. But they also know one bad offseason and he isn't playing next season. So you let the teams keep calling and as we get closer to the deadline they may get desparate.

Who says all of the sudden SF/NE decide they HAVE to get a WR... and you get a 1st round pick? What if then the Browns counter with a 1st round pick and a conditional pick based on what happens, ie if they win the Super Bowl they get another pick (2nd/3rd round) or more likely if he is not suspended through the 2014 season, unlocking another high pick in the 2015 draft.

Ask for the moon... don't just 'settle' for a 2nd rounder. Because if we get a young stud in the draft he will need Gordon to throw to.

Give me The Legend, the first round 2014 pick, and a conditional 2015 pick based on performance and we can talk. I'll even throw in Weeden.

apparently, the browns want a 1st round pick and a player, and no teams are willing to take on that kind of risk for a guy that's one puff or one sip of purple drank away from a year long hiatus, especially considering that guy has failed some sort of drug test for about 4 years running. we'll see if some other team gets desperate enough to pull the trigger.

I saw some rumors on the interwebs that Vince Young was coming to Cleveland for a workout/tryout. But that was confirmed as false this morning

Vince Young, Burt Young, Sean Young, Mighty Joe Young, Youngblood, Bloodsport... I know... Jean Claude Van Damme! (If Chuck Norris isn't available)

After the apparent fleecing of Indy in the Trich deal, something tells me Indy wont be trading with us for a while

It's not our fault that they couldn't recognize that he is an absolute monster of a physical specimen with nearly zero vision. It was cracking me up when nearly all of the NFL jock sniffers were spouting that we'd traded a future hall of famer. During his time in Cleveland, I'd never seen him intentionally make a cut into space.

Yup. Look at what the Packers did with him much later draft choice by waiting a year and getting a kid from the same school who knows how to run through the line of scrimmage and not just plow.

I was looking at the top 10 QB's who might be available next year in the draft and there certainly are a lot of redshirt sophomores and even a junior and senior listed in the top 10. The Browns might not be able to get any of the really good guys.

There are only so many teams in the market for QB's in the first 2-3 rounds. It really depends who comes out and which guy the Browns like. As long as that guy doesn't project in the top 5 they will probably be able to get him. The only pick that will really be off limits will be Jacksonville at #1. Anything else can be had for the right price, but I would rather start Hoyer than go RG3 retard to move up.
