In 2007, I made a deal with myself that as long as they didn't overthink it and took Thomas with the 3rd pick, I wouldn't get [censored]ed, no matter waht else they did. And I sort f took that same tack with Richardson/Weeden(or other QB's, primarily Tannehill) once it became more clear that Richardson would be their first target. In both cases I waivered quite a bit, but somehow kept sane.
Now, I take this tack, mostly because in both of those cases, they did something smart (getting Thomas and Richardson) follwed by something stupid (Quinn, Weeden - and let me be clear that the move to get Quinn was unforgiveably, mind numbingly, sacrifice the future and [censored] up the salary cap stupid, whereas the Weeden thing was more a move up, lightning in a bottle stupid, and at worst they overpayed for a backup pick-wise and not so much money-wise stupid).
I'm sort of deciding how I want to hedge this one... Mostly what I'm thinking is, as long as they don't take him at 6, I'll be okay. (This lets them trade down, get more assets then draft a QB, I won't like it, but, I might live through it)
