That's my point. A successful FA season would be forcing the Ravens to pay $20 mil a year for Flacco, signing Lewis out from under the Steelers, and finding someone that has experience as a 3-4 OLB if Kruger is too expensive.

Yep....and then a guard at #6 in the draft :paranoid:

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a backup for Sanchez?
I think the Jets ownership is setting up Rex to fail. They want him out of there in the worst way. So, not only is he stuck with the worst starting QB on the planet, they give him Captain Checkdown to fall back on.

tony grossi's mock draft

http://espncleveland.com/common/more.php?m=49&post_id=13441

6. Cleveland: Ezekiel ?Ziggy? Ansah, OLB-DE, Brigham Young.
Yes, it?s high risk, high reward, and higher than most experts see him going off the board. But none of the top pass rushers is a sure thing and Ansah has the most upside. (Perhaps the most bust potential, too.) He?s also the most versatile, able to play the so-called 5-technique defensive end in a three-man front or as a rush end in a four-man front, or even outside linebacker in the 3-4. All of that plays into coordinator Ray Horton?s ?multi-front? attack scheme. Ansah has natural speed and power. One concern other than his lack of football experience is his commitment to the game in the offseason. Will he take off to Ghana for months to be with his family or will he use the time to continue to develop his game?

With all the talk about Mike Wallace...I got to thinking about Emmanuel Sanders...I think he'd be a cheaper WR with a similar skill set and he is a free agent..though restricted

Why? He's not much better than anybody currently on the roster...

Id like to sign a young WR for the slot...Maybe Benjamin could fill that role but I see upside in Sanders...The Steelers prolly let Wallace walk and resign Sanders for his spot at wideout...I think Little and Gordon are outside receivers...I want a speedy slot receiver...As for Ansah at #6...we don't have time for uncertainty...We have to get this offseason right or we have set ourselves back just even further..
Something I don't know I have patience form...

I might be in the minority but I liked what I saw from Benjamin. He has the elite cover buster speed but the more important aspect I saw was his willingness to go over the middle and not shy away from contact, which was surprising for such a small frail looking kid.

That deep TD late in the year from Weeden still sticks out in my mind of the potential for scheme busting that Norv can make with Benjamin's speed and Weeden's huge arm, they're a great match for each other.

If we had a 2nd round pick I'd say what until then and I'd expect Banks or Amerson still around but since we don't, it does make Milliner more attractive at 6th.

Dunta Robinson was cut though so maybe he'll be an option for us.

Little is more of a slot receiver then Benjamin. As I mentioned before, I would like to see them sign Hartline and not because he is a Buckeye but because he is fast and has very good hands. Plus, I don't want another young WR but I want somebody who has been around the league for a while.
