Oh shit, this will make everyone happy

2 mocks by Rang and Brugler at CBS. The picks they have us at are 13 and 23. Rang has Sammy Watkins, WR Clemson, at 13 and Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor in the first round. Think that's bad? The other guy has Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State at 13 and...wait for it...Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State, at 23

Of note though is that Rang has Amaro going 32 to KC and the other has him at 28 to GB, so he would be there for both picks

I've had those picks too in a couple of mocks I have done. Many folks forget about Seastrunk and where he was going to go before Oregon's troubles. Kid can tote the rock.

I have to own up to being completely wrong about the Richardson trade. Getting a first round pick for him certainly looks to be a fantastic deal at this point. Completely wrong on my initial reaction.

Trent Richardson Update

5 carries
2 yards

All.Time.Low.

Michigan scoffs at that assertion.

And the Colts draft...Fitzgerald Tousaint. Gruden: "Oh, what a great fit for their running game! He will compete immediately with Richardson for PT, because they have the same style"

Me too. I judged it by the timing and made the (usually correct) assumption that if it was a decision made by the Browns, it was the wrong one.

At this point, even if the Browns completely waste the Indy pick they still win the trade.

Not for nothing, but that brown, hairy turd they laid this weekend against St. Louis (and Kosar's favorite QB, who managed almost 250 yards on all of 9 completions ) might just springboard that pick into being a decent one. They still have to play at KC, at Arizona, at Cincinnati, and Houston at home...plus they play the Titans twice, who despite turd-burgling themselves this weekend, are always annoying enough to beat a team once. 4 more losses is a distinct possibility, which would put them at 9-7. Not a high pick, but not a terrible one either.

I thought Bernie's favorite QB was Hoyer:biggrin2: and Indianapolis is very lucky that they do not have to play the Browns this season.

Who would be crazy enough to draft Mettenberger in the first round? Wait... don't answer that...
I know I'm being a complete homer, but I'd kill to see Hyde running it. Somehow some way I think we end up with Lewan, though.

Not a chance in hell. I'm beginning to garner confidence in this front office - Mingo has performed well, many of our initial reactions about the Richardson trade appear wrong. Then they pulled the 1st rounder out of Indy.... Somehow.

Lewan is being abused this season and it isn't hard to tell. Impossible to believe this office and coaching staff won't see that when the scouting department delivers their assessment and the combine rolls around.

Edit; I'd like to see Hyde as well. Nevermind the homer in me, he's an AFC north, one cut and go guy with great burst for his size.

I think this upcoming draft will tell the tale with regards to this front office. If they somehow hit a home run, things will be very different (for a change) in Cleveland football for the foreseeable future.
