Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

Unless you're the Cleveland Clowns. History has proven the law of averages does not apply to this outfit...or cleveland sports in general. In fact, LOLbardi's track record seems to point to more hilarious failure.

So what are they suppose to do, stop trying? With the #1 pick in the 2014 draft the Browns 'pass'. "Since we suck at drafting, we are not going to try and not draft anyone"

Mingo doesn't seem to suck yet... I mean getting a sack on your first pro snap on defense ain't bad.

So while I hav elow expectations... at least this front office is putting itself in position to get better. At least it is better than just accepting the fate of being the sucky Browns.

Hey, man...more power to you. I just cannot see this team ever doing better, that's my point. Stockpile all the pics you want, the franchise, and the guys in charge now have track records that indicate more of the same is inevitable. It's easier to just accept them for what they are...a comedy troupe.

They'll definitely get a wildcard if not win the division outright.

A team that barely beat Oakland and lost to Miami??? Alot of people *cough*vegas*cough* think Indy is going to regress to their means and be at best an 8-8 team

Call me crazy for saying this....but why not sign Tebow to a 1yr deal?

He may not win games, but he will at least try and make plays. And lets not forget that he has quite a big following, who will at least come to games (or at least maybe come)

And I know someone had mentioned it earlier after the news broke last night, try out Beanie

The rumor they are signing Mcgahee... why not check out Beanie? No problem in bringing in Tebow... tell him he can play QB the rest of the year, but if he sucks... he will be our TE next year.

Don't really need a TE, Cameron as of now is pretty much our only guy who knows how to catch. He's young and has a lot of upside. However if you want to keep him to be in the 2te sets, with a few trick QB plays, I'm game. But he doesn't want to play another position

Yeah, the funny thing is, many were pointing to the clowns awful OL as one of the main variables in TR's lack of production. Well, Indy's line isn't all that much better.

Oh... I do accept them as a comedy troupe. But I find my fellow Browns fan just as hilarious.

*Browns Fan* Weeden's out... might as well try Hoyer instead of Campbell
*Cleveland announces Hoyer will start*
*Browns Fan* WHAT?!?!?!? Why aren't you starting Campell since he was the backup??? This front office sucks!!!

And their reaction to this trade is just as hilarious as you think this trade is. While the trade is the right move (alot of football people think this was a smart move).

But having said that... the chance of them screwing this draft up is 75%, but hey, at least it gives us fans a ton to talk about til then.

Well at least I'll really enjoy the draft next year......

I fully agree with the trade though, but wow....who would have thought we'd have Hoyer/Rainey starting BY GAME 3??!?! This is a new low, even for us. Never seen a season given up on so soon in all my life, in any sport.

1. because tebow is a terrible qb and does not even remotely fit the system they're "trying" to run. At all. He won a few games running a gimmick offense a couple of years ago. The league figured him out, and they got pantsed in 4 of their last 5 games that season. If not for Pittsburgh going full retard in that playoff game, nobody would still be talking about him. You think this franchise is a joke now? bringing in the tebow dog-and-pony show would make it even more of a laughing stock.
2. beanie. People talk about TR being "injury plagued". If TR was injury plagued, I don't know what that makes beanie. At least richardson tried to play through his injuries. I knwo beanie was a great buckeye, but he's done next to nothing since leaving columbus. Plus, I think there's still concerns about his health now. There's a reason he's not on an nfl roster. He was totally unproductive (234 yards, 2.7 ypc in 8 games) behind a terrible cardinals OL last year when he did play. This clowns line is probably worse.

I'm not saying Tebow is a good QB. I'm saying with what we have seen, the moves we have made, we have thrown in the towel. Attendance will drop, merchandise sales will drop, everything up until maybe draft time (depending on who they take)

As a businessman, it would be smart to bring in Tebow. Merchandise sales would be better than what it is now, and people would pay to see him play. Regardless of what he fits or doesn't fit. You think Campbell/Hoyer fits? Come on. Right now we don't have anything that fits on offense. It looks like a bunch of amateurs who are running around with their heads cut off.

This season is over after 2 weeks. At least try and salvage other aspects other than W/L's. Tebow would at least make things a little interesting.

You're assuming people in cleveland give a shit about tebow. I don't think many poeple outside of the media echo chamber and florida fans do. Time Tebow isn't going to make anybody buy a clowns sweatshirt. From a business standpoint, it just further ruins your credibility. When you have to resort to cheap stunts to get fans interested, your goose is cooked.

Difference between trading up to the 3rd pick overall and picking up an unsigned free agent from the garbage heap. Look at McGahee... Not like we have a backup RB anyway... Plus this is an Ohio State website anyway... so of course we want Buckeyes on the Browns to root for!

You're right. Bring him in for the lols.

So, if you want former Buckeyes to do well, would you really want them to join this outfit? Look, the point is, beanie has not proven that he's an nfl RB. He had one decent year in four, and has been plagued by injuries. A few teams looked at him this year and already passed. Obviously there's something going on there. Personally, I couldn't care less if they signed him. I'm just pointing out why they won't.

You talk like this goose isn't cooked.

This thing is fried to the point of burning the house down. I do think that there are people that care about him in Cleveland (and other cities too). And again, the signing isn't on expectation to win many games, it's to at least put something that resembles a QB

At least he can play football. These bums we've had at QB since DA's one crazy/lucky year, are guys that shouldn't be in the league.

indy's +/- last year was -30. for them to make the playoffs was a giant statistical anomaly. add to that losing Arians and some injuries and a pretty rough schedule, and they could very well miss the playoffs.

Um, if there's one thing he's proven, it's that he's not anything close to a QB. Did you see him this preseason? And how can he "play football"? The only thing resembling success he had in the NFL was with a team that had a very good OL, a strong running game, receivers, and defense. Even then, they were terrible once the league figured out how to defend the gimmick. He's a gimmick, and not a good one at that. You know what, fuck it, bring him in for the lolz.
