When will these fuckers realize you don't fucking win by drafting QBs onto bad teams?
You build a winner by building the lines and getting a good running game. Look at every single one of the good, young QBs in this league right now.
Matt Ryan had Michael Turner
Phillip Rivers (when he was still good) had LDT
Flacco has Ray Rice
Luck had a good to great year from Vick Ballard
Kaepernick had Frank Gore
Aaron Rodgers had Ryan Grant
Matt Schaub had Arian Foster
Russell Wilson has whatshisface
The only QB in the league going back to 2000 who basically did not have a consistent running back to hand off too as a young QB was Brady, and even then they did the RB by committee thing well for years.
The pattern isn't so much having a "superstar" RB, but a good and consistent running game allows the young QB to establish himself and get used to the league.
Then look at the bad ones.
Gabbert has basically nothing without MJD, and MJD has been hurt most of the time he's been starting.
Josh Freeman has no running game.
Chad Henne basically had no running game in Miami last year unless Reggie Bush was trying to run around the edges
The list goes on. Yet here we are again, repeating the same damn cycle that we have been since 1999. Fuck these guys. I'm still a Browns fan, but I have no reason to pay any attention to them on Sundays now at least until draft day, except to laugh and ridicule.
