Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

Since the Browns have come back, they have perpetually been 3 years away from being a contender. It never changes. I lost my attachment with this team when Model left town. Now I watch them casually and would like to see them do well, but really don't care when the lose. Trading Richardson feels about the same - who cares?

They'd better start addressing the actual problems. Weeden is bad, yes. But you don't trade the best offensive player for a pick that might or might not work. Richardson's numbers aren't great, that's for sure. But look at what the fuck is around him.

Horrible trade, unless the QB does pan out well. But that isn't going to happen with the holes on offense. And now there's another hole.

So, the Browns trade an underachieving, injury prone running back who was nothing more coming out of college than a great product of the team he played for and ACTUALLY got a first round pick for him?

"Grig's roll'in the dice"

Dude just shot craps.

GREAT trade for the Browns!

Peace

The biggest problem I have with this is the following... every time.. I mean EVERY TIME they change coaches or FO... they always say "we're building we need to get our guys in here" ... by the time it start to look like something ... everyone is canned and they bring in someone with a COMPLETELY different style. Defense is the perfect example 3-4 under Crennel, 4-3 under Shitbrains, 3-4 under Chud.... Horton will leave and we'll get a guy who wants to run the 4-3.... there is 0 consistency with this team... Chud wont make it through year 2... Norv will be the head coach (then get canned), we'll change O philosophies AGAIN ... Horton will leave for greener pastures after year 2 .... everything will turn over in 2/3 years and we're back at this same point... insanity ...at its finest ... :smash:

Such is life with football...at some point we're gonna have to give some regime 4 years instead of hitting the reset button (talking scorched earth, motherfucker) after two seasons like its a fucking video game. But that seems to be wishcasting.

I'm a huge proponent of building through the draft but the early returns on 2013 aren't good. I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

Seriously - can they go ahead and trade Joe Thomas now since he's been so loyal to this franchise only to get repeatedly shit upon? Please?

And people wonder why FAs don't go to Cleveland, it's shit like this.

I just don't get it. "He doesn't fit out offense" is such a bullshit excuse. Maybe you should change your offense if you are building it around Brandon Weeden and Gerg Little instead of Trent Richardson. Shit - at least give him a chance with a decent offensive line.

I wonder how much they asked Norv Turner if he fit the offense. I think his skill set would fit Turner's offense just fine.
