It's the clowns. Do you expect anything less?

Great pick. I mean, I know it's "only a 7th rounder", but how do you draft this idiot? He dealt drugs to undercover cops at practice. Not in a game. Not a game. We talkin' 'bout dealin' drugs in practice. TWICE.

:slappy:

from NFL.com

Cleveland won little praise for adding defensive end Armonty Bryant and offensive tackle Garrett Gilkey in Round 7. They're Div. II prospects, but I can't take my eyes off their game tape: Bryant's dislike for [strike]quarterbacks[/strike] the LAW and Gilkey's obsession with mauling human life forms obviously caught Cleveland's attention.

Fixed it for them .... seriously I was waiting for the shoe to drop from the Clowns & Lolbardi

He seems like he could be a good kid. Obviously he wasn't incredibly
Over the legal limit - isnt very hard to do. He needs to use that better judgement.

My initial comment might have been harsh, but you hate to hear a kid throw
Away a rate opportunity.

Bad day for this article to come out:

So much for the second chance. Wonder if he gets a third?
The more I think about this the more I tend to agree with Terry Pluto who thinks that the Browns should make Bryant go through a year of rehab before letting him practice with the team or really have any interaction with the team. At first, I thought what the hell a little booze is a mistake but you put that with his two prior drug sales and it is obvious that the guy has not learned. I guess it was worth a flyer for the Browns since he was a seventh round pick and is an athletic freak who probably could become a pretty good football player if he ever gets his life straightened out.

I don't care what they do, just keep him the hell away from Josh Gordon.

"Look officer, I know I was doing 80 and swerving lanes but I really needed to get to my buddy's to drop off this...wait, you don't happen to need some tree do you?!"

 "Officer, really, I mean...can we just skip the breathlyzer if I spot you some hippie lettuce?"

Browns bulking up OL:huh:
The Browns have added depth to their offensive line, signing free agent Rashad Butler, according to a tweet from his agent.

The team is yet to confirm the roster move.

The tackle has played 42 NFL games, all with the Houston Texans, but just two over the last two seasons. An elbow injury limited him to two games in 2011 and he missed all of last season with a torn triceps..

The signing of Butler, 30, would be the latest move to fortify the line. The Browns drafted tackle Garrett Gilkey, who they intend to make a guard, in the seventh round and also signed undrafted free agent Chris Faulk.

Butler, a University of Miami product, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of 2006 draft, but never played in a regular-season game.

The 6-4, 317 pounder has started just four games, all in the 2010 season. He is represented by Ken Sarnoff.

WEST MONROE, La. – Chris Faulk will not arrive at the Browns training facility on Thursday saddled with regret.
The LSU offensive tackle said he’s at peace with the devastating 2012 knee injury that caused a projected early-round pick to slide all the way out of the draft, a tumble that cost him millions in guaranteed money. He’s also comfortable with his decision not to return to college for one more season to restore his draft status and potentially recoup some of the lost money.

“I’m not looking back,” Faulk said in a phone interview Tuesday. “I’m just anxious to play football again. I love the game and I love to compete.”

The 6-6, 325-pounder said his right knee, which required two surgeries to repair, is healthy and he expects to be a full participant in this weekend’s rookie minicamp that opens Friday. The team, however, might approach his return more cautiously given the severity of the injury and his level of fitness. Faulk was unable to work out for scouts at LSU’s pro day.

It’s believed 16 teams inquired about him after the draft and the Browns beat out another AFC squad that projected him as a 2014 starter. The Browns, who appear set at tackle with perennial All-Pro Joe Thomas and Mitchell Schwartz, might experiment with Faulk at guard.

Article writer from Grantland suggests the Browns had a trade down in place that involved a 2nd round pick and 2 future 1st rounders.

I find that quite hard to believe considering the lack of elite talent this past year. That said, if there is an ounce of truth to this, Banner should be shot.
