I'm not speaking to the Browns, exhawg or Litl
all of you were responsible for at least the free agents
and no way do we NOT sign Boren and Stoney.. NFW
those are positions of need

Would love to have the inside skinny on immediately firing the head of recruiting right after the draft

That had been expected. Contracts for scouts run through the draft and they expected a house cleaning once it was over. Get LOLbardi and Farmer guys in there.

I would be interested to hear what other teams were after Stoney and Boren. For all we know the Browns made them offers, but they wanted to play for a contender. If I could catch passes from Rodgers or be the blocking back for Foster I would do that rather than sign with the Browns.

I'm willing to wait until the season gets going before I call any of the draft picks bad moves. Any world where a LT from a directional Michigan school is the #1 pick in the draft shows that you can find talent anywhere.

actually, nobody was fired per LaConfora. The scouts' contracts were up post draft, and most of them were not renewed, either by their own choice, or otherwise.

i think the real question is how did the primary scout from the phil savage and eric mangini regimes manage to ascend to head scout and stick around that long.

Regarding the draft, I wonder where the Browns would rank if the so-called experts would put Josh Gordon as the #2 pick and Bess as our #4 pick. I think those guys really need to be included in the draft rankings.

My biased opinion is that Gordon was the most talented receiver in the draft this year. The best thing is he already has a year of NFL experience. I'll be interested to see how his stats look this season compared to the rookies since that will be the true measure of his value.

according to this, gordon would have likely been a late 1st round pick in this draft, and at worst gone to buffalo in the early 2nd. this is predicated off of where the wr's in this draft class were picked, but you could certainly argue that a few teams would have picked gordon instead as they needed wr help.

Browns seventh-round pick Armonty Bryant was arrested Friday for drunken driving in Ada, Oklahoma.

Less than a week after being drafted, Bryant -- a defensive lineman -- was pulled over and issued a standard sobriety test. Police "had problems" getting Bryant to comply with blowing into a breathalyzer, attempting "the test at least 10 times." The result eventually was a .098, above Oklahoma's legal limit of 0.08. Bryant also "repeatedly refused" to blow into an Intoxilyzer. Clearly not the brightest tool in the shed, Bryant was suspended three games as a senior after being arrested on two occasions for trying to sell $20 worth of marijuana to undercover officers. An arrest like this could seal Bryant's walking papers in Cleveland.

It's the clowns. Do you expect anything less?

Great pick. I mean, I know it's "only a 7th rounder", but how do you draft this idiot? He dealt drugs to undercover cops at practice. Not in a game. Not a game. We talkin' 'bout dealin' drugs in practice. TWICE.

“Now that I've gotten that second chance, I feel like I won't let anyone down," he continued. "I won't let myself, the people around me or the Cleveland Browns down. I appreciate them for taking this chance on me.”

Six days later, Bryant was arrested.
