Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

There is a reason the Steelers win football games and the Browns continue to suck...

Bite your tongue. I want our players nowhere near that trainwreck known as the Clowns.

First pick - got hustled by the Vikings
Second pick - picked an old man who will be 30 by the time he is a good nfl qb
And now have two picks which are graded as the lowest in their individual rounds including one guy many thought would go undrafted. THAT is why they are the Clowns.

F the Lerner family! Traitors!! I won't root for that joke of a franchise until the Lerners are gone.

and according to cbssports.com NFL prospect rankings, John Hughes was projected to go undrafted...THIS is the best pick so far

No offense Mon Ami, but do you remember your opportunism six hours ago about, the Browns having two more top 100 picks? After I read that, our two fourth rounds picks from last year stuck in my mind. We could have drafted both those guys in the sixth, if not seventh round last year.

This reminds me of a rudderless ship. The Browns drafting over the last, at least 5 years has just been horrible. I don't ever recall hearing anything remotely close to a plan :(

I had a moment of clarity this evening as the clowns traded down, yet again...I [censored]ing HATE this franchise. I do. I loathe what they've been. I loathe what they have become. I loathe what they are going to be. I honestly couldn't care less if they fail into perpetuity...and they will, because that's what they do. I think the chemical reaction in my brain is exactly the same when I laugh my ass off at their never ending stream of failures as when they bumble their way into the occasional pointless win. Fail on, boys. FAIL ON.

D-tackle just happens to be the only position where we have two solid starters, but anytime you can take a guy in the 3rd round from a mid major conference (Big East) that was projected to go undrafted in a position of "no need", YOU HAVE TO DO IT.

If this team wins any more than 5 games over the next 3 years, I'll literally eat a fucking crow.

Okay, I'm totally with the ledge-jumpers on the pick of John Hughes in the third round. The only really solid position on the team heading into the draft was DT, and they select another DT in the third round? And it's not like Hughes was some first-round talent who slid down to #87 and was simply too good to pass up - he wasn't even the best DT on his mediocre college team, and he was widely regarded as a seventh-rounder, at best. I find it difficult, nay impossible, to believe that John Hughes was at the top of the Browns' board at #87. This pick is every bit as baffling as the Owen Marecic selection last year, maybe more so.

Regarding Mitchell Schwartz - I like taking a right tackle at #37, I just don't know if he was the best player available at that position. I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt on this one.
