Cleveland Browns (2011 season)

Fleece Dan synder for this year and next years entire draft. Thats my option 1  all other options are moot under these circumstances because dan Snyder cant help himself

Given his alleged hard on for RG3 that is exactly what they should do, then use the extra picks to get some playmakers (and still consider a QB later in the draft if the opportunity presents itself at the right point).

so you are advocating taking a WR from a conference that doesnt play any defense but not a QB?....just wanted to be clear on that....and i take it your saying you would just trade down and then take richardson...i would be cool with that...just as long as the team we are trading with is within the top 10...no guarantees when u trade down u get the player u want...obviously switching with the redskins would be ideal to take Richardson

Flame me all u want but i would take RGIII at #4...if he was available and blackmon was gone...until the combine comes and school workouts i think luck is clearly #1 and Kalil is #2 with RGIII at #3...i have no faith in colt mccoy whatsoever...i think RGIII already has a better arm and he obviously can run a hell of alot better...if we are sitting at the #4 spot with no way of trading out, i take RGIII and hope to get Floyd or Jeffery

i love richardson but as ive said i hate the idea of taking a RB at #4...and i also love blackmon as well but his size scares me...he is only 6'1...everyone keeps saying we need playmakers on offense and RGIII, if he is there waiting for u to draft him, is the best playmaker in the draft

Blackmon is the best WR in the draft since Megatron or maybe even Larry Fitzgerald. He's a no-brainer assuming he isnt a complete retard and doesnt know the passing tree

RG III isn't. At all. NO QB in this draft is, even Luck. Yes getting Richardson at 4 is over-paying, but sometimes you can't overpay for a position of need. QB isn't NEARLY as glaring a need as WR and RB are on this team. IF they draft RG III and certainly if they move up to #2 to get him, the deserve the firing they'll get within 24 months.

I just like the idea of building playmakers first and then if the QB isn't working, at least there are attractive pieces for an outside QB to look at the situation and want to come to Cleveland (via FA).

Get Blackmon, let Colt try to do something, if that doesn't work, at least a potential FA QB may like what he sees. Or a 2013 rookie QB has someone to step in and throw it to.

blackmon is closer to michael crabtree than he is fitzgerald or megatron. he's not even in the same stratosphere as those two.

I disagree here. Yes Blackmon is only 6'1" (unofficial) but the dude has a pretty sick vertical. I'll reserve my final comments on Blackmon until after we get some official numbers from the combine or pro day but at this point.... he's the most talented receiver in the draft, with the salaries slotted the way they are... to me its a no brainer you take him and don't look back

he simply isn't on the level of guys like megatron, fitzgerald, or andre johnson. not close.

look at the wr's drafted in the top 10 the last few years. look at the ones that didn't flame out. blackmon doesn't compare to any of them.

it has nothing to due with the salary of a particular draft slot. it has everything to do with the value of certain positions. wr, much like rb, simply isn't great value at the top of the draft. the ones that are justifiable are simply on a different level from blackmon.

are you comparing what those guys are doing now to what he did in college? or are you comparing college to college. Fitz hasn't been the same since Warner left... Megatron goes MIA ... Johnson gets hurt and goes MIA.... its never a sure thing.. but if you need playmakers ... to me he's the best one on the offensive side right now

Where did I say he was in the "same stratosphere" as the other two? I said he's the best WR in the draft since either one of them and that's true.

I did forget about Andre Johnson, but the point remains.

being the best turd in the pile doesn't make him worth a top 4 draft pick.

It does when you are criminally short of play makers and he's a playmaker. QB just isn't a position of need like WR and RB are right now and I don't believe the hype about RGIII being a top 4 pick either.

Agree and he is not a natural fit in the WCO.

If he's not completely retarded and knows the passing tree and can seemingly grasp the WCO terminology, he'll fit just fine.

1. that's the sort of logic that phil savage used when taking kam wimbley over haloti ngata. overreaching for a guy that's a lesser prospect than other positions is simply bad draft strategy period.

2. one of the knocks on dez bryant from cowboy folks is that he didn't know most of the nfl route tree. i think you can connect the dots from there.

Does if he's the 4th best turd in the whole pile.

At this point I think I like Claiborne there. Problem is I don't see anyone saving us from oursleves... but, good chance RGIII is on the board... good chance we could trade down. (Heck, who knows how stupid the Vikings are, Christian Ponder hasn't been good, maybe somehow Blackmon goes 2, Griffin 3 and we can trade down with Kalil.... that would be easy)
