Cleveland Browns (2011 season)

Mike Turner had the one monster year where he got ran into the ground. He hasnt been the same since. I fear that is what is happening with Hillis.

Disagree to an extent...he did have a huge year of carries (376) in 2008 and then got hurt in 2009, playing in only 11 games ( and still almost managing 1000 yards). He had a good year last year (1371 yards, 12 TDs) which is nothing to sneeze at in the back-by-committee era. People just need to face that Atlanta isn't as good as many thought, top to bottom.

Marcus Benard reportedly injured in motorcycle accident and transported to the hospital. Can't somebody keep these idiots off of bikes?

It is sometimes written into a contract. As an UDFA he may not have had that language in his contract. Get well soon. Get a good lawyer.

Brandon Lloyd is on the market. Supposedly for a 3rd & 4th/5th rounder.

I'd jump on that in a heart beat.

edit: Let me say why. We can work Lloyd into the season slowly or quickly. Help him build
a solid rapport with Colt. There won't be a ton of pressure to win still. This team is very young. Although
fans will want results - I think they'll be more focused on Greg Little for the moment.

This also free's up our draft plans and eliminates a pressing need at WR. Brandon is a bigger target with
great strength and quickness. I think it would be a great addition.

I wouldnt go higher then a 5th rounder for him...we are obviously trying to get younger as a team so a 5th round pick is probably worth more to the browns front office then getting Lloyd...we are 2-3 years away (i hope to god) from making a move like this

a couple of points:

1. he's on the market for one draft pick, anywhere between a 3 and 5.
2. he's had one productive season in his career, spanning 4 teams, and he's 30 right now.
3. cleveland would get him for 10 games, many of which would be spent getting acclimated to the new system.
4. he's a free agent after this year.

all that adds up to a resounding No.

5. The Common Idiot on 97.1 was all for it. Unfortunately the car I was in at the time had those retards on. if the Common Idiot is for it, then anyone with a functional brain should be against it.
