Cleveland Browns (2011 season)

Possible FA targets.

Paul Posluszny - LB
Stephen Tulloch - LB

Ray Edwards - DE
Mathias Kiwanuka - DE

Donte Whitner - S
Eric Weddle - S

Darren Sproles - RB/KR/PR
Jerious Norwood - RB
Brandon Jackson - RB

Early Doucet - WR
Mike Sims-Walker - WR

I'd love to see us pick up Mathias. I don't think he'd be too pricey either. Ray Edwards would be a pipe dream. Likewise for Eric Weddle. Posluszny in the middle is interesting though - if he's sick of Buffalo I think its a possibility. I just tossed out the RB's and WR's for fun really.

i don't think they pay for a WR. They'd be more likely to pick up an UDFA rb than sign a FA.

Reggie Bush would be a fantastic fit for the Browns. Explosive on returns, solid receiver out of the backfield and in the slot, could spell Hillis.
Pass. Cribbs, even if his numbers were down last year.

As for spelling Hillis, they're hoping Hardesty can do it and I've yet to see Bush show one clue that he's a capable nfl rb.

cleveland would be better off finding an UDFA rookie RB to be the #3 back instead of paying someone like reggie bush. they will probably just sign someone off the scrap heap during training camp, and he will still be an upgrade over mike bell.

Is this guy any good:huh:
In other NEWS not dealing with WRs, I have been told about the potential signing of Chris Clemmons the DE from Seattle is becoming a reality. I work at a store around Beachwood where he was asking about housewares and other stuff for his new place in Cleveland. You do the math, look for this signing on Saturday.

Donald Buckram (RB, UTEP) confirmed to Browns. 5’9” 194lbs with a 4.4 40 yd dash. Piled up nearly 1,600 yds on 259 carries (6.2 avg) with 18 TDs and was the Conference Offensive MVP in ’09. He struggled with a knee injury, though, throughout 2010

Chris Matthews (WR, Kentucky) Confirmed to Browns. 6’5” 218lbs with a 4.57 40 yd dash. Played in all 13 games in 2009 as the 2nd reciever and accrued 32 catches for 254 yds and 3 TDs. He tore up California junior college the previous year leading all receivers with 80 receptions.

From above

Carl Gettis (CB, Missouri). 5?10? 200lbs with a 4.73 40yd (but plays way faster on the field) 33? vertical. Has great return skills and field vision. Stays down in his backpedal.

Brian Smith (OLB/MLB, Notre Dame). 6?3? 240lbs with a 4.77 40yd. Started all 12 games for the Irish. Seems like a typical Notre Dame guy, all hype and show. Bad tackles and sloppy form. Often highlights of him were in gang tackles and he was always first to celebrate.

Sidney Tarver (OLB, Tennessee State) 6?4? 236 lbs with a 4.7 40yd. Guy can tackle well and accelerates his feet after contact. Played inferior competition and smaller bodies, but excelled.

Troy Weatherhead (QB, Hillsdale) 6?3? 218lbs with a 5.15 40yd. Conference player of the year and Div II leader in passing efficiency (76.9%)Offense was built around him and he crushed all school records, setting them mostly in his junior year.

Kyle Anderson (DE, Georgetown College) 6?4? 275 lbs. left junior year. What short tape I saw was unimpressive but he fits the Heckert mold to develop this year and maybe become a pass rushing DE in the next couple years.

Alex Wujciak (MLB, Maryland) Confirmed for Browns. 6’3” 247 lbs with a 4.77 40 yd dash. First team All-ACC with a team high 131 tackles last season. Noticing any tendencies here lol

Wants a WR... didn't take Dane. Good fucking call :smash:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I believed this season was Larry Fitzgerald's contract option? If true, still possible for him to opt out - I'd toss down a shit load of money for him and never look back.

edit:

His 09' highlights are pretty good. Solid change of direction and good acceleration. Runs bigger then he is. Of course, another RB with knee issues though...

cleveland needs a legit #1 WR, not a guy like Dane.
