Cleveland Browns (2010 season)

So the pessemist in me says they just lost to a team with no depth that was 1-15 last year and basically took a glorified knee for 3 quarters. The optimist in me says...it was only preseason. I guess.

As for Haden, well, perhaps figuring out how to not get burned on several critical 4th quarter 3rd downs before firing one's mouth off would be a good idea,

Run defense looked good most of the night, but they weren't exactly playing the 72 Dolphins backfield either.

Running game wasn't very good. There was a good drive or two with Hillis, but Hardesty better bring something to the table, because Harrison can't handle the load on his own.

They're still shitty. Wait, am I in the right thread? Ah he'll, doesn't matter.

Any Cleveland sports thread works at this point.

I am still waiting to see a pass rush. I hope it is just due to bland play calling in the preseason, or no Rodgers on D. That is my main concern about this team right now. If we cant do that sucessfully, then we hang a young and inexperienced secondary out to dry.

Wow, soaked.... head to toe, every inch of clothing. I was freezing by the 4th Qtr. Going to get in a nice hot shower and some dry clothes.

Played like garbage the 1st Qtr, that fumbled snap was terrible and I had a first row seat. Delhomme didn't even notice until the defender was on top of it.

We need to stress ball security.

Crowd was solid for pre-season and considering the weather. You can tell people are excited about this team ( for some reason) like said above, Hardesty better bring something to the table because Harrison Isn't the answer. Hillis is a punishing runner, but he needs to learn to stop stretching plays to the outside (especially to a mediocre right part of the line) and just go at the guard/tackle and work the inside game.

Some tall douchebag who had a Brownies jersey on kept walking around with his hands together screaming "its all about the U" - about 5 of us simultaneously screamed "Fuck the U". He mentioned Jacory Harris, I mentioned "Heyward, Dex, Simon and Williams" ... he spouted some other shit until I finally screamed 31-24. He turned and kept walking afterwards.

Another guy was in Brownies boxer's with nothing else on riding a skateboard in the Muni parking lot in the rain, now that shit was awesome.

The optimist says in me says that we were missing are starting RG and RT along with Mass... who would have been able to stretch the field even though they did not go vertical. Plus, it hasn't rained much up in Cleveland so that's a pretty good excuse. Nevermind the fact that St. Louis plays inside. I think we also need to get Rogers on the field pretty quickly because I think that will help get some pressure on the QB.

The pessimist in me says how can a team looks so good away from home and look so bad at home. I am also beginning to wonder if Wallace might not be a better option at QB rather than Jake but I think that Wallace might take more chances. Would like to see more of him.

Never saw Harrison draft the ball like he did last night so why there must have been a factor with him. I really like Hillis but I don't think that he has the speed to be our featured back. Need to get Hardesty the field to see what he can do.

If they lay an egg next weekend, we might as well start blowing this team up as well.
