I'd say he's more "lazy" than "inconsistent"..."inconsistent" implies he actually is trying. When he decides to actually show up and play, he's probably the most dominant defensive player in the league. That just doesn't happen nearly enough. Been the knock on him for a couple years now. I'm also a little skeptical of Peppers. He's going want a ton of money, and from what I saw of him last year he was very underwhelming. Sure, he can dominate, but he's pretty inconsistent.
I'd imagine he'll stick with a 4-3 team as a DE anyways, more money that way than as an OLB.
