CLEVELAND -- Browns nosetackle Shaun Rogers will be fined one game check by the NFL for carrying a gun in his handbag at airport security, an NFL spokesman said. That's about $400,000, or 1/17 of his $6.9 million base salary for 2010....more
BEREA, Ohio -- Browns quarterback Seneca Wallace thinks Lions rookie Ndamukong Suh's head twist and slam of Jake Delhomme to the ground Saturday in Detroit warrants an NFL suspension. Suh, the No. 2 overall pick, disagrees. ...more

No word about when he will be off of the PUP list. Also, no word on when Robaire Smith will here about his gun incident in Detroit.
Hopefully when they get these two guys playing regularly, especially Rogers, it will help the pass rush which is in bad need as we all know.
One of the things that I was thinking about yesterday while reading your posts on the previous page was why was our defense pretty good last year and so bad in two of the exhibition games this year. Could it be that Mangini and Ryan are holding back some of their blitz packages
It will be interesting to see if the 2 ex Jets survived the cut on Saturday. At least one of them doesn't think he will be around this season. I really don't know who is around to play ILB. You are right on target regarding Roth. I guess now I know why he was released from the Dolphins last season. I need them to just win 6 games and I am beginning to wonder just like you.Bucklion;1757789; said:Bowens can't get his knee to stop swelling to the size of a softball, Barton still hasn't recovered, D'Quell tears a pec every time he scratches his nuts...and Roth hasn't shown anything in the preseason. Gocong and Fujita look like just guys. Veikune has no idea where he's supposed to be, he doesn't even know where the lunch line is. Now maybe that will change when the regular season starts, and it had better...if they don't win the first 2 games they won't win 5 all season.

Bucklion;1757970; said:Thing is no one even knows if Rogers can be any kind of effective end. But even so, he's a better option than the cardboard cutouts we have there now. DEs in the 3-4 shouldn't be as critical, but they can't suck either...we don't even have anyone that's adequate. Hell Schaefering looks like the best option, let's get him in there.
Well, the Browns took a chance with Hardesty and it looks like the chance is not going to pay off for who knows how long if ever. I liked Davis when I saw him run in the Lions game and I think with Hardesty going down his chances of making the team greatly improved.Bucklion;1760019; said:Be really interesting to see who the cuts are at this point...looks like guys like Trusnik could be victims, along with busts like Veikune and underachievers like McDonald. I hope they keep Davis...he can help if given a chance, I don't think Jennings really has any kind of upside.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns rookie running back Montario Hardesty's preseason debut was good while it lasted. But it ended prematurely with an injury to his left knee.
It brought the Browns' preseason to a thudding conclusion, with Hardesty talking dejectedly after the game with crutches in front of him and an MRI exam waiting on Friday.
