Dumb play by Suh turns into a TD. That could have been 2 PF's with the face mask and the slam. He needs to learn the NFL rules.

That was a pretty rough penalty. Didn't know why Delhomme was so pissed until I saw the replay.

Offense looks so much better than last year, kind of crazy.

Hopefully Sorensen is ok. He went stiff for a few seconds.. has limb movement, so that's good.

Hills is "The Moose" we nicknamed him while at the Rams game.

Offense looks consistent - which is all we need. I really like what I'm seeing from Delhomme. He's a leader, calling out pressure and line adjustments. Hardly ever saw that from Brady. He had command of the huddle and the respect of his players.

Cribbs has hands. Robiskie has hands. Watson & Moore are TE's that could be on this roster for years. Hillis and Vickers will be the smash mouth staple of this offense. Now we just need that true burner at WR - I'm still not sure about our RB situation though. Seeing Hardesty would have really helped but I'd like to have Davis get a few touches before pre-season is over.

Defense made some decent adjustments after the 1st drive. We still dont fill the zones quickly enough on blitzing. I love seeing a CB willing to tackle and thats what I like about Haden.

More thoughts coming in the 2nd half.

Colt looks Quinn-esque out there with the checkdowns. They were obviously very unhappy with him at the end of the game. It wouldn't shock me after seeing this if Mangini was pushing to cut him. This is where Holmgren has to do his job and tell him to "fuck off". He's young, you have to give him more than 1 preseason when you invest a 3rd round pick on him.

Indeed but he needs to take a chance down fireld rahtr then repeatedly throw to the back.
Absolutely, like I said, he looked a lot like Brady Quinn out there tonight (first I've seen him) up to, and including, throwing the deep ball 5 yards out of bounds. Hopefully he grows out of it.

ehh. Last pre-season game next week - not sure how much it might mean, but I'd love to see McCoy at least get a few snaps with the 1st team offense. I'm not saying he'll look light years better but I am a curious creature on what the results might be.

McCoy was awful, actually painful to watch. He was absolutely Quinn II, the new Captain Checkdown. When he's not fumbling, of course. He could turn into an NFL QB, but he has a looooong way to go yet.

I seriously hope we get the right side of the line back, because Kooistra might be the worst player on the roster besides McCoy. He was routinely beaten tonight by Lion backups. That is never a good sign. When he makes people pine for John St Clair, he really sucks balls.

I owe Delhomme an apology, it doesn't look like he will be the team's rate-limiting step at all.

Love what I see from Cribbs and Robo at the WR spots...Watson is a beast at TE. Moore will help too, even though he fumbled.

The defense all night was horrible. Haden and Ward weren't bad, but gave little indication they will mkae much of an impact. Wright played Deion scoring the TD but was beaten like a red-headed stepchild the rest of the night. Getting beat by Calvin Johnson on a fade produces no shame...but Bryant Johnson??? Long season if you can't seal him off.

Rubin was decent in the middle, but I don't think the DEs made a play all night other than Schaefering, who isn't supposed to be good enough to play. We have 100 LBs, but apparently none of them can tackle a running back before they've gained 8 yards.

Jhavid Best could have set, what...30 or 40 NFL records if he had played the whole game? Watching Felton dissect our D like a 7th grade science project made me think Best could have had about 400 if he played the whole game.

If the players suck get some new ones off the wire...otherwise Ryan is looking vastly overrated at the moment on the clipboard.

Spin it any way you want, but we just lost 2 preseason games in a row to the Rams and Lions. And fumbled what...8 times in those 2 games? The offense is showing signs of life, but tonight was not a good sign.

We may have 100 LBs already... but it appears we need 200 to see if we can find 3 or 4 worth a crap... it's alarming that we have the worst set of LBs I can imagine... we may as well try running dime packages exclusively to make sure no LB ever sees the field...

Have to agree, no one can cover a tight end, or tackle, or even flow to a ball carrier. Let's see, cut Venike, Bowens, Barton, this week, and who knows next week. Better play will end up being waived.
