McCoy was awful, actually painful to watch. He was absolutely Quinn II, the new Captain Checkdown. When he's not fumbling, of course. He could turn into an NFL QB, but he has a looooong way to go yet.
I seriously hope we get the right side of the line back, because Kooistra might be the worst player on the roster besides McCoy. He was routinely beaten tonight by Lion backups. That is never a good sign. When he makes people pine for John St Clair, he really sucks balls.
I owe Delhomme an apology, it doesn't look like he will be the team's rate-limiting step at all.
Love what I see from Cribbs and Robo at the WR spots...Watson is a beast at TE. Moore will help too, even though he fumbled.
The defense all night was horrible. Haden and Ward weren't bad, but gave little indication they will mkae much of an impact. Wright played Deion scoring the TD but was beaten like a red-headed stepchild the rest of the night. Getting beat by Calvin Johnson on a fade produces no shame...but Bryant Johnson??? Long season if you can't seal him off.
Rubin was decent in the middle, but I don't think the DEs made a play all night other than Schaefering, who isn't supposed to be good enough to play. We have 100 LBs, but apparently none of them can tackle a running back before they've gained 8 yards.
Jhavid Best could have set, what...30 or 40 NFL records if he had played the whole game? Watching Felton dissect our D like a 7th grade science project made me think Best could have had about 400 if he played the whole game.
If the players suck get some new ones off the wire...otherwise Ryan is looking vastly overrated at the moment on the clipboard.
Spin it any way you want, but we just lost 2 preseason games in a row to the Rams and Lions. And fumbled what...8 times in those 2 games? The offense is showing signs of life, but tonight was not a good sign.
