He seems he would be a nice pick if you still want to go defense. I believe we also need to pick up a linebacker and there is one available from UNLV who is supposed to be pretty good. Don't know if he will be there in the fourth round. I am reluctant to draft WRs because of the numerous free-agent WRs that are going to be out there whenever they reach an agreement on the CBA. Franklin would also be a good pick if we want to go on offense because he fills a need.

Sam Acho - DE - Texas. Hard worker, great character and a damn good football player. Further addresses Clevelands front seven.

Demarcus Love - RT - Arkansas - Addresses upgrade at RT for the Browns.

Orlando Franklin - OL - The U - Versatile OL and was originally projected for 2nd round in most drafts. Can play guard or tackle on the right side of the line.

Edmund Gates, WR, Abilience Christian - Blew up at the combine. Fast, good hands and decent route runner. Too early for 3rd round? Maybe. But the Browns definetly need someone who can stretch the field and this kid could be the guy.

Others; DeMarco Murray / RB; Daniel Thomas / RB; Mike LeShoure / RB

Sam Acho or Mike LeShoure

This are some of the BPA I found, I would be interested in.

Brandon Burton CB, Utah
Orlando Franklin OT/OG, Miami
Brooks Reed, DE Arizona
Ryan Williams, RB VT
Kendall Hunder, RB Okla State
Allen Bailey, DE Miami

I don't see any WRs here I want to take in the 3rd round.

He took Orlando Franklin RT Miami

I was down to Leshoure vs Franklin, Franklin is good value and will fix either the RG or RT spot. Good value and safe pick at a position of need.

Good selection. I think you should be able to get a RB in the 4th. Someone who compliments Hillis OR one of the receivers that was brought up. Good luck.

The reason I'm not thrilled, is two-fold: Franklin's lofty ranking is due in large part to measurables, and potential. His on field production only garnered Franklin second team all ACC. Second, I think the Browns could find as fine a Right Tackle at the top of the fourth round.

WRs still available (3rd round was definately too early to take a WR as Gates was only one taken in the 3rd.)

Austin Pettis
Tandin Doss
Sanzenbacher
Maheal
Toliver
Denarius Moore
Niles Paul
Ronald Johnson

Also Brooks Reed is still available, I also would look at a top Dlineman if anyone see someone that has fallen.

Best CBs
Shareece Wright SC (CB)
Johnny Patrick L'ville (CB)
Marcus Gilchrist Clemson (CB)
Robert Sands WVU (FS)

ALL are good selections. Pettis or Doss would be excellent picks at this point. Sanzenbacher should be available in the early 5th but with a bunch of Buckeye fans drafting, he probably will go here in the 4th.

As far as CBs go, Rashad Carmichael is still on the board and I had him going as early as the mid to late 2nd. Wright and Patrick wouldn't be bad picks here. If I was makiang the selection:

Pettis, WR.

Todd McShay has both Bowers and Peterson falling to the Browns at 6. That would be awesome if just one of them fell to the Browns. Who would you take if that were the case? McShay has them taking Bowers, but I think Peterson is a safer pick.

Peterson is the best Athlete in the draft. Bowers has a knee problem that may be more serious than first thought. Also, this is a deep draft for DL's. We can get a good one in Round 2 (i.e Marvin Austin) as well as Round 3 (i.e Sam Acho). With Peterson and Hagan as CB's, we can let loose with a pass rush. Eric Wright would become the Nickel and Sheldon Brown moves to Safety. The only DL I would take at #6 is Marcel Dareus.

I'm still on the Peterson bandwagon. If Peterson is still there and Dareus is gone, I take Peterson and don't look back.

If they're both still there, I think you could argue for either one as BPA, but the greater need (DL) would trump in that case. If it's Peterson vs. any other DL in the draft though Peterson is the BPA and the guy I'd want the Browns to pick.
