This are some of the BPA I found, I would be interested in.

Brandon Burton CB, Utah
Orlando Franklin OT/OG, Miami
Brooks Reed, DE Arizona
Ryan Williams, RB VT
Kendall Hunder, RB Okla State
Allen Bailey, DE Miami

I don't see any WRs here I want to take in the 3rd round.

Browns Mock so far has not addressed the need for a weapon for Colt at WR.
As much as I believe Sanzo will have a monster career in the league, . . .
the Browns could desparately benefit from selecting a sleeper 3rd round WR like;
1. Tandon Doss (6-2, 201) of Indiana or,
2. Edmund Gates (6', 196; 4.35, 40) of Abilene Christian or,
3. Austin Pettis (6'3, 210) of Boise State.

I agree, but I think all of the 3rd rounds WRs are already gone. The next group of WRs that include the 3 you mention I think are all late 3rd to 4th rounders. Maybe I should offer a trade for my 3rd round pick and see if I can pick up an extra. I was all for taking Gates until I watched him run routes and run laterally in the combine, he is nothing but straight line speed and thats it.

Sam Acho - DE - Texas. Hard worker, great character and a damn good football player. Further addresses Clevelands front seven.

Demarcus Love - RT - Arkansas - Addresses upgrade at RT for the Browns.

Orlando Franklin - OL - The U - Versatile OL and was originally projected for 2nd round in most drafts. Can play guard or tackle on the right side of the line.

Edmund Gates, WR, Abilience Christian - Blew up at the combine. Fast, good hands and decent route runner. Too early for 3rd round? Maybe. But the Browns definetly need someone who can stretch the field and this kid could be the guy.

Others; DeMarco Murray / RB; Daniel Thomas / RB; Mike LeShoure / RB

I thought LeShoure was already taken. Acho is interesting, Brooks Reed and him are very similar and project mostly as OLB in a 3-4. But I think both could fit as a 4-3 DE. I am not sure which is better. Do not want Demarcus Love, he got dominated in the sugar bowl and in the Senior bowl, yuck. I like Franklin for the right side.

Leshoure is still on the board. I thought he would be gone by the early 2nd. Go figure.
Acho has been all over the draft boards. from the 2nd to the 4th round. Why I don't know other than his game does not translate well to the NFL or being a bit of a tweener even though 6'2, 260 is not small. I compare him a to Dwight Freeny at about the same size but needs work with technique.
Love is an enigma. All the talent in the world but work ethic is a concern. With the right football team (teammates that can light a fire under his arse when needed) he could flourish. I do not think Cleveland is that place...yet. Might be a better fit with the Ravens, Steelers or the Patriots.

I didn't see Gates run at the combine, either routes or laterally--what was your impression of his route running when you watched him, (technique, effort, burst, etc.)? I assume you saw him on a video feed?
I believe your observation about the quality and depth of WR available in the 3rd round and beyond is notable however.
Just my humble, IMHO.--It should give the Brown's braintrust some clues about priorities and draft strategy:
1. If we are commtted to running a west coast O, we need to address/upgrade the WR position.
2. The lack of depth and quality of WR's in the 2011 draft diminishes our chances to find a "can't miss" after the 2nd round.
3. If Green or Jones are available at #6, that trumps any other Best player available.
