if fairley, dareus, and bowers are all off the board come cleveland's pick, patrick peterson is the best player available period. barring a trade down, he's got to be the guy. now, should those 3 DL be off the board and PP be gone, I can see cleveland moving down to dallas' spot so they can take Prince.

I would add Quinn to the list of DL I would pick at #6. While it could be more risky, if he played this year and had the same production he did in 2009 he would be the top pick in this draft.

Now if all 4 are gone AND Green is gone, I wouldn't mind Peterson. But I would be looking at trade down scenarios and get either Julio or Prince.

Now, regarding the OLine comments, yes we need guys for the right side of the line. But with the other needs on this team you can pick those guys in rounds 3 & 4 and hopefully sign another in free agency.

So your contention is really that RT and depth sucks?

And I suppose that is a problem for the unit as a whole, but, I'd say the Pittsburgh has the same problem. And, of course Roflberger's size, experience and "escapability" (See that, QB jargon) as well as the receivers kind of overcome a lot of those problems.

Having said that, doesn't really matter, we need more guys at a lot of places.

Well stated, as I said a few post ago, the Browns can really fix up the O-line with out using a high draft pick. A couple of days ago, the ABJ, discussed our taking Barksdale (LSU) with a mid round pick.

According to Scout's ranking the prospects, Barksdale is only the #8 rated OT in this draft. Scout also ranked three very good college OTs as inside linemen. As I said before, because of the depth in the draft, good players will be released, and free agents will need to find a team.

Holy shit. A Barksdale update!

Also, is he aware that he's not playing defense?

BUT, John St.Clair is the worst NFL RT, I have EVER seen.

Cornell Green says hi.

With Newton looking like a top 5 pick, and now Peterson, the Browns pick is getting better by the minute.

what it will do is put cleveland in prime position to trade down should they opt for that route. dallas and the titans are both said to be in desperate need for a cb. amukumara lighting up a 4.37 is going to make him a hot target as well for a tennessee/dallas bidding war.

This.

Amukumara having a great workout really helped the Browns as an entire organization in terms of the draft.

i gave kiper grief about cleveland taking jj watt at #6 overall, but did anyone see his combine numbers? unreal. his agility drills were off the charts for his position group. i'd have no problem moving down to #9 and taking whichever one of watt or kerrigan was there.
