Cleveland Browns (2010 season)

I won't say they are a good team, because they aren't, but if you would have told me that with this roster and with who is the starting QB that the Browns would have their first game that they didn't lead in the 4th Quarter IN WEEK 5, I would totally take it.

A couple decent FA pickups, a TRUE franchise QB and a strengthened line on both offense and defense and this team might at least ruin someone's year next year.

What I find frustrating with the backs right now is that Hillis is playing his a** off while obviously hurting and Harrison looks like he doesn't even want to be here. He just seems [censored]ed off about not getting a new contract or something but he is not the same guy who finished out last season.

With two QBs with two good legs between them and a banged up Hillis, we needed him to step up. Unfortunately, the best play he had was when he tripped over himself running behind Steinbach.

Has anyone seen seen our All-Pro tackle this year:huh: BuckeyeMike80 you might have to step in at his spot if he continues to play the way he is playing.

I don't know if I want to use my first round draft choice on a QB so I guess I will let the season play out before making that decision. I would have liked them to play McCoy yesterday instead of a guy limping around the field and pretending to be a QB. He almost made it by default. I would also like to give Wallace a little more opportunity. I have seen Jake play and I have no idea what Holmgren shelled out all that money for except the fact Jake is a veteran.

We still need help in the defensive backfield and another running back and WR (poor Hillis-someone needs to say a prayer for the guy. I think that would help us because we have enough depth at OL and DL but those guys are getting old.

At least this isn't as embarrassing as last year... :!

Don't say that until we play Buffalo...

I kind of view the Delhomme signing kind of like the Spearchucker Jones transfer in the movie MASH. He was likely the one guy Holmgren say as a true "professional" that could at least show the younger players how to go about things.

That says two things to me:

1. Seneca Wallace might be a better QB but isn't near the leader (at least in Holmgren's eyes)

2. This team might get younger next year and it's a 4 year rebuild plan. I wouldn't be shocked to see a series of trades for 4th-6th round picks just to begin this youth movement either.

As for being a tackle in the NFL - I'm ready. Let's get it going

Oh boy:) Here we go Colt get those ankles taped

CLEVELAND -- Browns quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Jake Dellhomme are "really hurting'' with high ankle sprains today, meaning rookie Colt McCoy might be pressed into service Sunday against the Steelers, league sources said.

The Browns also signed Brett Ratliff off the Patriots practice squad, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schefter reported that Ratliff was signed to back-up McCoy in Pittsburgh Sunday.

From above article Mangini says that the Browns are using everything available to get him ready but I don't know if they were talking about Colt, Wallace, or Jake. They also signed Ratliff so we are now back at four QB's. Mangini also send something about Colt seizing the moment:)

looks like colt might have to start sunday @ pittsburgh...i feel really really bad for him
Actually, Indy's defense might be a good place to start. Ideally, you'd like him to sit this year, but that may not be an option. Might as well throw him out there to see where he is and find out if you need to start seriously considering QB in next spring's 1st round. He was a four year starter in college, he shouldn't be too far off if he's a real NFL QB.

unless some miracle happens, which has never happened in cleveland sports history, colt will get destroyed....this is not a good first start for him, or any QB making their first NFL start...in pre-season he looked terrible so im not expecting him to do anything vs the NFL's best defense...lets not forget there was people in the media saying he might not actually make the team...i dont see colt as the future for the browns but i hope i am really wrong on that one...id hate to see us burn a first round draft pick on ANOTHER QB

Indy's defense might, but I don't think Pittsburgh's will be...
