Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

The offense did move with Brady under center, that's one positive I can take away from that turd. If stonehands doesn't drop an easy TD, they score their first offensive touchdown in six games. I think we'll be fine with BQ under center. I can't say I feel the same way with stonehands at WR. To be honest, if he cannot learn to catch the fucking ball, put his ass on the bench and start Robo and Furrey. If he throwns a hissy fit trade him to the highest bidder or waive his ass.

It's getting to the point where we have several servicable guys who could see the field in particular situations or rotate in and out (Robo, Massaquoi, Furrey, Patton, Cribbs, Norwood) and one guy who supposedly will be out there all the time. The problem is, if the one guy out there all the time is going to drop 2/3 of the passes, he's the only one who can effectively kill the offense at every turn. At the very least, Edwards should be used as part of a receiver rotation until he shows he belongs out there every play like an elite wideout, because he hasn't shown that in the past year and a half at all. All he does right now is take opportunities away from 5 other guys...I hope we don't cut someone reasonable like Patten or Furrey because Edwards takes all the playing time when he isn't earning it.

I honestly thought that Edwards would come out smoking this year being a contract year.

He [censored]ing stinks.

Yeah, it looks like he's not even gonna play well enough to destroy some other poor team's salary cap number for the three years with his next contract. I was kinda looking forward to seeing that.

A wide receiver that can't catch?? No problem!

If things could get worse, it looks like they might be going that way with an undisclosed injury to Tucker. There is some chatter that he might reconsider retirement. I thought that we were going to have a decent OL this year with some depth but with Hadnot and Tucker injured things don't look so good.

Cleveland Browns training camp report ? day 19

BEREA, Ohio -- The makeup of the Browns' starting offensive line is coming into focus.

Due to the knee injury to Rex Hadnot and a recent undisclosed injury to Ryan Tucker, four of the positions have been manned fairly consistently in recent days.

On the left side are incumbent starters Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach. On the right side, Floyd Womack and John St. Clair appear to be entrenched.
The only question is center, where Hank Fraley and rookie Alex Mack continue to alternate each practice day.

Hadnot reportedly tore a medial collateral ligament two weeks ago and was expected to be out four to six weeks. The maximum time out would take him into the second week of the regular season. He was competing at left guard and also was considered a backup at center, at which he has 19 career NFL starts.

Tucker suffered an injury on Monday and has not been in drills since. On Wednesday, Tucker was not seen on the field working with trainers.
