My guess is Anderson is the only safe one because you're not going to get more than an experienced water boy in trade. I'm sure the Browns already have a capable water boy
Doubtful.

The Associated Press: Browns hammered by flu
I stole that joke.

BuckeyeFan 52;1573039; said:God knows what will happen with this administration, but I have to believe that if they're in a position to draft a QB who they think is a difference maker, I think they have to do it (assuming either Quinn or DA (or both?) are no longer on the roster in 2010). I just think this QB situation has come to a point whether these two guys need to part ways in some fashion and move on.
I'm a fan of Sam Bradford, I think he has what it takes to be a very good QB in the NFL, probably good enough to start day 1 and take his lumps (which will be tougher to endure than Mark Sanchez (for example) since our supporting cast is not as strong). I'm sure we'll hear all about his shoulder and how that will drop his draft stock (assuming he declares). It certainly doesn't help him, we'll have to wait and see how things go for him, but I would really like to see him in brown and orange next season.

tsteele316;1573048; said:there are a lot of concerns about qb's that operate almost exclusively from the shotgun. couple that with bradford having what is considered an average NFL arm, and the fact that his shoulder has been hurt a lot, and that adds up to a big no go for me. you'd be better off with the emu or jake locker.
The injury issues alone should remove him from the Brown's board. Just my opinion, but I think he's gonna fall into that "great college QB/average pro" crowd.BuckeyeFan 52;1573065; said:While Bradford does operate out of the shotgun most of the time, he does take a fair number of snaps from under center. At a minimum, he's not new to it. Take a look at some of his highlight films, he comes out of center very nicely into his drops (that sounds nasty! LOL).
NFL scouts are being forced to figure out which college QB's can play the NFL game, regardless of their offensive scheme. I don't know the stats, but I would assume at least 60% to 70% of most D-1 college programs run a lot of shotgun in their offensive schemes. A guy like Mark Sanchez doesn't come around every year. Matthew Stafford ran a lot of shotgun, not as much as Bradford does, but he took many snaps from shotgun in his tenure.
Is Bradford's arm really considered average for the NFL? I haven't heard that one yet. I think he has an excellent arm (from what I've seen of him in games), and most importantly, great accuracy. When he's healthy, he puts the ball on the spot. I was amazed by his accuracy, especially when he was facing pressure, in the NC game last year vs Florida. He threw some darts between the numbers. I really have to question whether arm strength is really an issue with him. But I'm no scout.
Another thing I like about Bradford is his feet. He seems to have soft feet, but he's almost deceivingly (sp?) quick. He moves around pretty well for being 6'4".
Who knows, maybe I'm way off base with Bradford, I just think he has what it takes.
