Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

On another note, what do you all think of the Browns using their first overall pick on Ndamukong Suh?[/quote]

I love it! Guys a beast, and we a lot of needs DT being at the top of the list but...the names Warren and Brown scare me when you talk about D-linemen getting picked by the Browns.

This team is so bad, and the failure goes much deeper than QB. Anderson hands the ball to the other team more often than he gets into the endzone, and in some games he's giving the ball up more times than he's completing passes. Brady only had a few starts, but he doesn't get the offense down the field at all in those few starts.

Getting rid of Edwards was a start, but they need some playmakers. Hopefully Robo gets lots of time and will show what he can do. Aside from Thomas, the O-line needs to step up to provide whoever is at QB some time.

I realize there was some emotional baggage to getting rid of Edwards but they got fleeced by the Jets, again. Chansi Stuckey is worthless.

The Browns passed on Roethlisberger to get Winslow, who is now in Tampa. They traded two first round picks to get Brady Quinn (the Cowboys used that extra first rounder on Felix Jones), and it appears they have given up on him, too. The list of first round flops for the "new" Browns is long, starting with Tim Couch. Thomas looks like they got one right, but they're batting around the Mendoza line.

Pro Football Weekly

According to Pro Football Weekly almost any Cleveland Brown could be traded by the end of the day including Thomas and Rogers. The only one who seems safe is Anderson.

On Cleveland.com Kosar ,who is now a consultant to management, states that Quinn might be better off with a fresh start someplace else. Bernie's role has not been completely defined by the is only reporting to Lerner .

If they trade Joe Thomas for a couple of cans of soup and a chicken bone I'm never watching this team again. Ever.

I just don't understand why Robo hasn't been starting from the beginning of the season and I don't want to hear about special teams because their rookie from Georgia does not play on special teams and Robo is the only guy on the team who can catch the ball.
From what I've heard, Robiskie and Massaquoi weren't absorbing the playbook early in the season, and Robiskie was passed by Massaquoi because Robiskie couldn't get off the line of scrimmage. This week, when Robiskie was in the game, it seemed like he was always in motion. Seems to me that they've both picked up enough of the playbook to get in the game, but Robiskie is still having problems getting off the line. Lucky for him, our receiving corps is so thin that they had to find a way to get him into the offense.

Bernie's role: charity case?

I understand what you are saying but what difference does it make if you can get off the line of scrimmage but you cannot catch the ball:biggrin: I also have a hard time believing that Robiskie had a hard time absorbing the playbook considering the massive playbook he had to absorb while he was a Buckeye:wink2:

In the CPD this weekend it said Mangenius wanted Kosar because he "knows about the city and what it takes to be a successful QB here"....uh, yeah, you know, completing some passes, scoring some TDs, not fumbling 8 times in a game...real insider stuff like that I'm sure.
