Yeah, that's like saying "my life isn't complicated enough, I think I'll pick up a bag of heroin".

Please fire Crennel today..........we need a coach with some fire in his gut......take most of the staff with him.........pathetic defensive performance.........simply a joke.
I wish, and frankly after they yanked DA last week, I wouldn't be surprised to see Romeo canned after another bad outing or two, and I agree take the staff with him save for Chud. That defensive gameplan was awful for the 2nd week in a row. Who the fuck leaves McDonald manned up alone on Marshall in an obvious passing situation? Who is positioning our safeties? My God this team is hard to watch.

Kudos to Quinn.......the offense did what was needed to win the game.....scoring 30 + points should get a win.
Not in Clevelan_.

While I agree with everything that you have said, the only exception I have is that when they fire everyone they might also want to take a good look at Chud. He had to call those last two plays of the game and I think offensive "geniuses" are pretty easy to find these days. If the defensive "geniuses" that are difficult to find.

I think it is also time to take a good look at Savage. He spent all of that money on defense and I think the only guy that is doing anything is Shawn Rogers. One week they can't stop the run and the next week they can't stop the pass. Exactly what can they stop. In addition, Savage should have told Romeo weeks ago to give Brady a shot. He can do so many more things than Anderson it is ridiculous.

2 Observations - Cribbs is a beast
Why is Harrison (RB) not on the field more??
Cribbs has tremendous vision. The only thing that I would wish for is just a little more speed but you can't have everything.

Well, the reason you did not see more of Harrison was because he was gaining quite a few yards for the Browns and we don't like those things to happen.

To amplify about Harrison. When he is in the game the other team probably knows is going to be a running play to the outside or some type of swing pass to him. He is not that good at running in between the tackles and he is not the player you want in the backfield to pick up a blitz.

I can't remember ever seeing this before and it just makes me wonder:(

Dispatch

It's hard to read the minds of the Cleveland Browns' brass, but the structure of contracts for quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson do invite speculation. The NFL Network's Adam Schefter notes that $11 million in escalators hinge on whether Quinn participates in at least 55 percent of the team's snaps in 2008 and 2009 or at least 70 percent in 2009.

Schefter says his contacts around the NFL say they don't believe that the Browns didn't play Quinn until last night's game against Denver to keep him from reaching that 55 percent figure

So why start Quinn now? Maybe because Anderson is due a $5 million roster bonus on the 15th day of the league year, sometime in mid-March, and the Browns would do well to find out if Quinn is ready before then. If the Browns traded Anderson between the end of the season and the 14th day of the league year, they would have to eat $4.6 million against the salary cap next year. But if they don't trade Anderson, they would be on the hook for a $9 million salary-cap charge.

No surprise really. The NFL is a business. It's all about the $.
I understand what you are saying but even Browns fans can only take so much. I can remember a few years ago when there was a waiting list for Browns season tickets. There is no longer a waiting list and I think pretty soon the individuals who have been buying season tickets might start to slow a little and just by individual game tickets but until they see an improvement.

I mean last night's game was really an embarrassment. Denver had so many guys injured and we still couldn't beat them. The Browns players just say they are sorry and that they should have done better.

The only person that has really performed this year that we were unsure about is Phil Dawson. Before this season, I can remember some of us questioning whether or not he could kick long distance field goals. Well, I guess he shut us up.

The offense will have to average approximately 71 plays per game for Brady to reach 55%. That's pretty much unattainable. Right now the Buccaneers and Ravens lead the NFL at 67.33 and 67.25 plays per game.

If this is why they didn't play Brady until now, then I hope that management dies in a fiery crash...and the new managment fires Crennel.

can the Browns just tank so they can draft Malcolm Jenkins in the first?

It'd instantly make this defense better...slide Shaun McDonald to nickle where he belongs.

With that "defense" they are fielding, I think that's pretty much a given. It's like these fuckers quit at the first sign of adversity and the coaching staff is completely incapable of adjustments. These last 6 quarters has been some of the worst defensive playcalling I have ever seen. Add in throwing three straight passes when they need one yard to move the chain (remember that 4th and goal at the one vs. Washington a couple weeks ago?) and I've fucking had it. This entire staff should be fighting for their jobs...I'm willing to give Chud a little leeway based on his past performance, but that's rapidly disintegrating.

fify

I guess I would be curious as to what you guys feel about Savage. I have not been overly impressed by some of his moves looking back and I think he might also have too much control.

We need an OLB who can rush the passer AND we need a CB. I'd take MJ if he is availble. A pass rush is a more urgent need though.

All i know is my head hurts again from too many adult beverages and I'm grouchy. So is the life of a die hard Browns fan.

Yeah, Wimbley is well on his way to being another 1st round flop after that promising rookie season...a whopping two sacks this season.

That's what I said 2 weeks ago. Jenkins and Wright would give them 2 really good CB's.
