Cleveland Browns (2007 & prior)

Gotta give BQ his credit. Came out on his first series in his Browns career and takes them down the field for a TD.

He did look sharp, but I'll wait until he goes up against a real NFL defense before I get excited. Couldn't have asked anymore of him tonight though.

I say next week they need to pick the starter and let him play the 1st and part of the 3rd quarters. Give Quinn the 2nd to see what he looks like with the starting O and against a starting D. Finish the game with Quinn and Dorsey. I'm guessing that Anderson will be the one to leave. All three QB's (both teams) looked unstoppable in the late 3rd-4th quarters.

 I like Jimmy Donovan, but Bernie is killing me. Is Bernie drunk? He seems to be slurring.

They both drive me nuts, but I enjoy Bernie more because he does not take himself seriously the entire time. Donovan messes up and never corrects himself. He said Anderson's fumble was because he was switching from his left to his right hand due to the pressure and then lost control. Replays showed the ball was in his right hand the entire time and was knocked loose by a Detroit player. He had another obvious screw up last game. I like him and he is one of the best sports reporters in Cleveland, but he needs to stick to reporting.

One other thing I drew from this game is that Brady may have a better shot at winning the job than anybody thought. Charlie and Derek are both making some boneheaded decisions. So far, Dorsey has looked better than anybody.:shudder:

To Donovan's credit, he said Quinn's completion to Steptoe was to someone else, then corrected himself.

As for Bernie, I disagree completely with a lot of people here. I love his analysis. Yeah, his delivery isn't the best, but what he says more than makes up for it.
