[FONT=arial,sans-serif][FONT=arial,sans-serif]My column of last week has been misconstrued in some quarters as a gratuitous attack on Browns owner Randolph Lerner. It was not meant to be personal. It was in tended as a sporting cri tique of the pathetic prod uct Lerner at tempts to pass off as Cleveland Browns football.

That was a great article, I could not agree more with Phillip Morris. We are living a nightmare, year after year and I think a lot of Browns fans are at their breaking point, including me. This is a make or break year for me, starting with the draft. Things need to improve or risk losing fans.

Browns? defensive line needs to beef up
Friday, January 19, 2007
By Steve Doerschuk REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER

BEREA Consider a tale of two fronts from NFL teams using 3-4 defenses.
In this corner, New England, with three former first-round picks in their primes. In that corner, Cleveland, with two old guys and a journeyman whose contract is up.

Unfortunately it is a Scummer (Branch) who could fill this void best in the draft.

Coming to grips with Browns' spin

Friday, January 19, 2007 Bill Livingston

Plain Dealer Columnist
Poor Eric Snow. It must be difficult for him with the Cavaliers, as a Michigan State Spartan playing in an Ohio State town.
Other players slap themselves in the face in his presence and call themselves John L. Smith. Fans razz him about the come-from-ahead loss to Notre Dame or ask him if MSU basketball coach Tom Izzo will grow.

Browns' offense has been worse

Sunday, January 21, 2007
On Saturday, the Cleveland Browns hired Rob Chudzinski as offensive
coordinator to revive a unit that was 30th in scoring and 31st in total yards

in the NFL this season. But, really, the Browns haven't been anything special offensively since they returned to football in 1999.
