"Clean" College Athletic Programs

True.

Because paying for that shit would be criminal.

Paying for Runza is criminal? Maybe if you are getting the Runza, LOL. I can't stand cabbage, so I get their burgers and fries. Fresh made (plus I know the manager at the one closest to our house, lol).

Yes, I was talking about the Runza. But my disinterest could be directly proportional to how much mother-in-law likes them.

Its Boosters like you who give elementary sports a bad name..PS the kids said they'd be up for free pizza or ATV's:)

I used to think our coaches buying us ice cream after little league games was just them being nice. Now I realize they were cheating sonsofbitches.

  1. Successful on the field/court- 3 national titles in football, 6 in baseball, 5 recent final 4s in women's basketball, 1 in men's basketball, a shitload of track championships
  2. No history of NCAA violations- basketball got slammed pretty hard about a decade ago, other than that, nothing major.
  3. No history of "lawlessness"- Perrilloux kinda fucks this one up for us.
  4. Student athletes- finished in top 30 in football APR each of the last 2 years (no clue where to look up farther back than that.)

we're about as clean as it gets in the SEC.
Vandy is cleaner, but they suck at everything but baseball.

What about Texas A&M? They're above average in both Football and Mens hoops - have they faced suspensions/sanctions?

Can't say I follow them much.
Can you say Jackie Sherrill? A&M was in the SMU/Oklahoma category in the 1980s.

Rice runs a tight ship and has a nationally competetive baseball program-won the CWS a few years ago, I believe.

"What program is 'clean'?"

It is impossible to find a program with even half the criteria listed that doesn't have some kid who feels entitled, who's been pampered since Middle School because of his athletic ability, and who takes advantage of the fact that coaches/compliance officers can't watch them 24 hours a day.

There are some that are more clean than others. But if the criteria looks back decades, and if we're using something as biased as the "Fulmer Cup" as a barometer, the answer to this question is "none."
