He’s gotten to two ground balls on the second base side that India wasn’t going to get to.

I knew India wasn’t a good defensive 2B but it really stood out there. When position switches start for real in ‘24, you have to think India is coming off second base.

I'm guessing Weaver is the odd man out when Abbott is ready to come up. That gives us 2 lefties in the rotation until Lodolo comes back and
Ashcraft, Greene and Lively. Definitely good problems to have but we need someone to change the game like Barrero did last night more often to keep the blood and energy injected into the Reds veins.

True but the investment in those three may be too much to send back down to AAA and the bullpen for one of them probably wrecks their confidence. Second thought, I can definitely seeing the Reds doing some such thing

I don’t t think a call up during a pennant chase that puts you in the pen for it is a career confidence killer. I could absolutely see Abbott or any of these other guys help out that way if the big 3 get rolling. You only need 3 in a playoff series anyway (did just seriously say that? About The Reds?)
