Cincinnati Bengals (official thread of False Hope 2015)

Yeah, not having the secondary at full strength really hurts. The pass rush at least slowed the vertical passing threat today, but you're right. The Bengals need those guys healthy if they want ANY success in the post season.

That is my biggest concern as well. We have to get back a guy or two in our secondary to make any sort of run. I hate that we are even having this conversation, I really thought we might get near the playoffs healthy.

Clinched a playoff birth...woo

But Denver fucks up against Pitt and gotta wait another week to hope clinch the division

I am not sure what we wanted to happen there. Even though we play Denver next week, we get a little wiggle room for a first round bye in the event of a loss and it allows us to clinch the first round bye (and the division). But beating Denver on Monday night is asking for quite a bit, although I would hope we can beat Baltimore in Week 17.

Huge game coming up on Monday night though. Just gotta one more win, stay healthy and we lock everything up.

I can't see the Ravens making much of a game against Cincy. Without Flacco, they look worse than San Fran. Hoping the Bengals don't get too cocky, and rest everyone in the final game. Obviously, if they beat Denver, I'm fine with resting some of the starters.

The only thing Denver did for by losing was if we lost to Denver, if they go and lose to SD the next week we'll have 2 seed

Agreed completely, although I think there is also the factor that they are a divisional rival. Even still, we should roll in that game regardless of the results against Denver.

Yep and the bye week would be absolutely huge for us, so I would rather have that window open even if we lose to Denver. I know Denver losing to SD is not likely but even less likely imo would be the scenario that we lose the division by Pittsburgh winning out and us losing to Baltimore in the final week. I hope we don't have to find out though.

Sidenote, this is going to be a fun game to watch. It looks like we will be pretty much back to health aside from Dalton, which is a wash imo since it will likely be Osweiler vs. McCarron. Two young backups against very good defenses, should be interesting.

AFC North Champs!!!!

An absolute Godsend. Now we know exactly what we play for. Sort of. We win and we at least have a bye. But with the New England loss, we might very well play starters no matter what next week to get the 1 seed. If we could somehow snatched that, it would be incredible.

Accordingly, this game tomorrow night is easily the biggest I can remember for us. Just win this one boys.
