Cincinnati Bengals (official thread of False Hope 2015)

Had a late season surge in my yahoo league to nab the last playoff spot. I was ahead 12 points in the early going, then Dalton got hurt.

Couple that with the Brownies blowing the #1 overall pick, just... fuck Ohio professional football today.

Not surprised our backups could not beat the Steelers. Unfortunately, it looks like we are falling off like flies with injuries like last year. Losing this game is not a big deal if we can get healthy again...but the issue is it does not look like we will.

Eifert's concussion hurt this offense more than Dalton, IMO. If Mccarron has Eifert as an option in the passing game, the game is a lot closer. I don't think they would have won, but he kills the middle of defenses.

That is half of my thought. Eifert is a bigger loss than Dalton (not that I think McCarron is an upgrade, Dalton is playing well). But the real big losses are the defensive players. Pacman, Dennard, Hall, Shawn Williams, Burfict, Iloka...I mean shit, that is a lot of guys. We can't "next man up" against an offense as good as Pitt. The Replacements was a great movie but in reality does not work. We need some of these guys back.

Yeah, not having the secondary at full strength really hurts. The pass rush at least slowed the vertical passing threat today, but you're right. The Bengals need those guys healthy if they want ANY success in the post season.
