Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

From an Ohio State perspective, this chart must have been made by a Juggalo......

No Army vs. Navy
No Alabama vs. Auburn
No ND vs. USC
No Florida vs. Georgia
No Texas vs. Oklahoma
and the list could go on and on

but the biggest omission...

No Ohio State vs. Xichigan

It is a chart of who teams should play as a rivalry game every year on top of the ones they already have. Just another "we need to see these" kind of chart. UC would be opting out of this one in 3 years max.

They got UC vs UL right

30 some odd of the other 40 were questionable though.

Ohio State will never consider the Juggalos a rival nor will they play them every year. The best that the Juggalos can do will be a game at Ohio Stadium every dozen or so years like the Ohio MAC schools.

Now that they are in a "big boy" conference maybe the governor should start getting on their asses to invite the MAC schools and others to play them. Give us a break from playing them

I posted earlier that the Buckeyes have played Cincinnati something like 6 times in 23 years. I'd be okay with dropping them down to once every 12 years, but I think the best we'll get is once every 4 or 5 years.

Yes! I like it.

1. Yeah - I guess that's a good rivalry I'd like to see every year.
2. I don't care, unless meteors can be included.
3. Yeah - Another I'd like to see.
4. Does anyone outside of Utah care? I don't.
5. Yeah, I guess this one is a little bit neat.
6. UCF? Bleh. Don't care.
7. Kansas vs. Missouri? Boof.
8. Auburn vs. Georgia Tech? Are we just throwing 2 teams in at random?
9. Boof.
10. I think there's a joke in here.
11. Meh - I'd give that a 4 out of 10 on my interest scale.
12. Only if they show Blount knocking out that one kid over and over.
13. Meh.
14. Meh.
15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! No.
16. I think it's East Carolina vs. someone, but I really don't care.
17. Call me when those teams are good, again.
18. Is this basketball? No.
19. Meh.
20. Um... why?
21. The fact that these teams don't play in the regular season more is a reason I hate big conferences without expanding the schedule.
22. Meh.
23. Meh.
24. I don't mind this one if they keep it and drop *ichigan vs. Notre Dame. It makes it look like Notre Dame thinks Sparty is the bigger rival.
25. Um... Meh.
26. Meh.
27. Meh.
28. Um... what? Why bother?
29. Again, see #21.
30. HA. I don't care about this any more than LSU fans want to see Akron play Ohio State.
31. #21 again.
32. Meh.
33. Again, why am I supposed to be interested in UCF?
34. Yeah, if it annoys the cult, I'm all for it.
35. Meh.
36. I don't know who either of those teams is. No - I don't care to know.
37. Sure, give *ichigan an annual rivalry game that they can win more than twice a decade.
38. I'm a little interested in this one. But only if Drew Brees is throwing for 300 yards against Notre Dame.
39. I don't know who the first team is, but I don't care who Washington plays.
40. Just let these 2 teams play each other in the national championship game in 2004 and see how interested I am.

CINCINNATI

Josh Pate: “‘Cincinnati will go undefeated.’ That is Michael's bold prediction. This is a nine. I have gone virtually bold across the board tonight to a degree that I'm not willing to travel with you, like well, I don't think this is happening. Probably the most underrated story from the draft this past weekend and amongst all the noise of Texas didn't have anyone drafted and believe me, I'm about to get to that, to Georgia had like half of Athens Clarke County drafted. Well, you had Cincinnati. This is incredible. Cincinnati just put nine guys into the NFL Draft. That's the third most among college football programs, not just chief college football programs. Think about that accomplishment. I mean Luke Fickell, like they, they're not quite gonna build a statue of him for this, but that is like a hat's off, solid 30 second round of applause type deal for him. And for that staff there. They had more guys drafted than Bama, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma. That's great.

“But now as it pertains to this bold prediction that they're gonna go undefeated again. Now, what are we doing without Desmond Ridder and their top two corners and replacing nine NFL caliber players? They open at Arkansas, so it's not the easiest schedule. It's hard to go undefeated even with last year's guys, that wasn't the easiest thing to do with those guys. Without them, you just play your normal conference schedule, there's probably a hiccup or two in there. They’ll be a healthy underdog of a touchdown or more on the road at Arkansas in Week One, but also it's not the talent that the staff will struggle to replace. I can promise you, if Luke Fickell were sitting next to me right now, he had to be honest, he’d tell you ‘We're pretty good at developing talent. And we've got pretty good depth here. We may not be as talented and as capable game in game out as we were last year. That's a really good team. But that's not what we’re worried about. The leadership, it's replacing the intangibles.’”

Cincinnati became the first Group of Five team to ever make the College Football Playoff. The Bearcats went undefeated, but only lost to Alabama in the semifinals. While it wasn’t a blowout per se, the talent gap was there, despite Cincinnati’s immense talent that ended up going to the NFL in the draft. Can they go undefeated again? Sure it's possible, but it’s going to be harder. And who knows if that’ll even be enough to get back to the playoff. Luke Fickell is a tremendous coach, and it’s going to be fascinating once Cincinnati starts playing a Power Five schedule in the Big 12 soon.

Just sayin': Their schedule is weaker than last year, they don't play Notre Dame. For the regular season, Arkansas might be their toughest opponent:

I'll be shocked if they get past Arkansas on the road. They lost all their juice from this season.

You mean they lost all their Sauce 8D

But honestly with that weak conference schedule, I'm sure UC will win another AAC title. But in no way do I think CFP committee will ever give them another chance with the way they got boat raced. It showed a MASSIVE talent gap

and still had 9 NFL draft picks. Bama was a bad matchup. think they had a shot against scUM.

How many times do you have to see this show to know how it ends?

Teams like UC don't just reload after losing an all time high amount of talent and upperclassmen.

They take it on the chin for a couple of seasons and then, maybe, get back to being good (for their conference).

We have many members of the "quadrennially good" club in the B1G. UC is the American Football Conference of America version.

Yeah there’s a lot of talent that left, and a ton of unproven talent that has a big game 1. And compound the fact that it’s hard to keep the talent, but every major job opening, Fickell’s name will be mentioned, or guys on his staff will be mentioned. Because losing an OC and/or DC is every bit as big as losing a starter, and UC isn’t the same caliber as OSU where we can lose a DC and then hire a DC who led the nations best defense. UC would have to find another young unproven coach, or heaven forbid have to make Coombs the DC.
