Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

You can draw the line where ever you want; however, I'll say the top 5 or 6 from the list below:

Most wins in the College Football Playoff:
SCHOOL.. GAMES.. RECORD.. TITLES WON
Alabama ........13....... 9-4........ 3 (2015, 2017, 2020)
Clemson ........10....... 6-4........ 2 (2016, 2018)
Ohio State...... 6 ........3-3........ 1 (2014)
Oklahoma....... 4........ 0-4........ 0
Georgia.......... 4........ 3-1........ 1 (2021)
LSU ...............2........ 2-0........ 1 (2019)
Notre Dame.....2........ 0-2........ 0
Oregon........... 2....... 1-1......... 0
Cincinnati....... 1........ 0-1........ 0
Florida State....1 ........0-1........ 0
Michigan......... 1........ 0-1........ 0
Michigan State. 1........ 0-1........ 0
Washington .....1........ 0-1 ........0

1. Bama
2. Clemson...may come to an end soon
3. Ohio State
4. Oklahoma
5. UGA...appears to be the replacement for Clemson
6. LSU...only because they won but will steadily fall lower.

The rest are pretenders with ND and Oregon leading the bunch of frauds.

Edit: UGA is probably above Oklahoma because they can't even win A game.

I'd offer something like this (with some recency bias)

1. Bama
.
.
2a. SEC team of the year that isn't Bama
2b. OSU
3. Clemson
4. OU
.
.
.
.
.
.
5. ND and the rest of the fraud/miracle season/best team in decades for that school brigade

I'd stop at the top three, and I threw up a little in my mouth on Clemson.

Come on now, this writer took such a lazy take and is looking primarily for clicks. I’m happy that they finally have a lottery pick for the program, but Gardner was a shot in the dark. He was rated in the 1600s coming out of HS, he would’ve never been on the OSU radar. He worked his way to a 1st round pick, and even though OSU didnt take a CB in 2019, there is 0 chance that they would've pursued Gardner.

Sounds like another "Ohio State missed out on Ben Roethlisberger!!!" comment. Never mind that Roethlisberger was a tight end until his senior year, and only signed with Miami University when he showed up at a camp there and they offered him first.

Or those who can’t believe that OSU didn’t pursue an unranked Isiah Pead(“he beat Archie Griffin’s record”), even though they had 2 young RBs from the year before in Zoom Saine and Boom Herron.

Some people want to see a rivalry with the juggalos so bad it strips them of common sense. I can't help but wonder if that game we just gave YSU was to keep active our ultimate weapon to shoot down the inevitable talk coming that OSU-ICP should be an annual game, and that weapon is breaking out the "if you make us play the juggalos every year, we'll have to stop giving all the other schools their games (and paydays) at Ohio Stadium.

From an outsider's opinion, I see no logical reason for tOSU to play the juggalos annually. There's nothing for the Buckeyes to gain from that arrangement.

I can see why the Juggalos would want it, but not any Buckeye fans.

You mean the entire state of Georgia isn't up in arms about you guys not having a series locked in with Georgia State?

Wasn't there a 6-year stretch where we played them every other year? Ugh. Now I need to look this up.

http://www.winsipedia.com/games/ohio-state/vs/cincinnati

Ohio State is 15-2, with 9 of those wins and both losses coming before 1932. For context, that's before parking meters were invented. Or the game Monopoly or canned beer. Wow - trying to figure out what else was invented since then, I realize a lot of things were invented way earlier than I thought they were. But that's not important. About 90 years ago. Then, for millions of years, nothing happened. Then they played again in 1999. What else happened in 1999? Well, Ohio State lost 6 games that year. But none of those losses was against Cincinnati. Then there was the close game in 2002. Then 2004 wasn't so close. Remember that 2004 team? Again, not a great team. But the game wasn't close. Then 2006 another win. So in 5 years, they played 3 times, and in 8 years, they played 4 times. Then 2014 and 2019. 6 times in 23 years. Without researching it, I'm going to bet there's no other non-conference team Ohio State has played more than 6 times in those 23 years. And I'll even count post-season games in there.

Edit - After re-reading my post (yes, over an hour later), I realized I may not have made my point clear: eff those guys - they get more of an annual rivalry than anyone else, and way more of one than they deserve.
