Part of me believes Ono took the Vancouver opportunity because he didn't want his legacy here defined by UC not being able to get into a P5. (Big 12) Money was not the driving factor. I hope I'm wrong. He did have the perfect out with a great story behind it switching to UBC. I am still hopeful we will get an invite, but it is looking more and more unlikely that is going to happen as we get closer to the 19th. There is most definitely alternative planning going on with OK and UT in the future and it doesn't involve holding the B12 together

Just blows my mind that the B10 has pretty much had its way with the B12 & ACC in terms of moving into their territories &, despite UC showing it can compete nationally despite limited resources, niether is jumping on a great opportunity to plant their flag right in B10 country.

I guess backdooring your way by virtue of playing in a joke of a "BCS Conference" into a couple of BCS bowls that resulted in a couple of proper Rogerings is competing nationally. What kills me is that these imbeciles actually think they bring anything beyond a plurality of the Cincy metro market (split with Ohio State, Kentucky and Notre Dame) with them and that only when they're doing well as half their fanbase shifts to the Bengals when they struggle.

Might be worth it to watch them get passed around the cell block a few times.

It would, but I think they'll end up in another version of the Big East in the Noth division that they might just have a chance to win. In which case, we'll have to listen to their insufferable bs until some South team brings them crashing back to earth. Although I will say that TT is no Dantonio-Kelly level of coach, so they'll have to overcome that.
