I usually get pissed when calls get overturned on video evidence b/c many of these officials seemingly don't understand how to apply a standard of review. Irrefutable video evidence should imply that what is seen on film is so unmistakable that reasonable minds could come to only one conclusion. In this instance, I can't imagine there being a situation where video evidence could be more conclusive. What a joke.

The reffing in this game has been atrocious. It is time to take the conference affiliations out of the equation. There is simply too much money involved and these calls are bringing up the question whether conference officials will call a fair game if they believe it may cost them a BCS berth or National Championship appearance. It maybe time for the NCAA to take over officiating and do away with the affliations......

Yeah, my dad and I were watching earlier before we switched over to watch some crap SEC football. He noted many times that there were a lot of fishy calls. The phantom personal foul was pretty bad.

Illinois scored 30 or more points against 3 teams:

  • 6-5 Illinois State 45-17 548 yds offense
  • 6-6 Minnesota 35-32 500 yard offense
  • 5-7 Michigan 38-13 351 yards offense

Combined record 17-18.

They have 476 yards of offense so far.
They had 170 against the Buckeyes.

To be fair, Big East officials are notoriously strict about the "indisputable" part about reversing a call. Just take a look at the Cincy-WVU game when Pead fumbled at the goaline.

Oh wait, they reversed that one and gave Cincy a touchdown.

4 point call that won't be talked about.
