Somehow this is all being swept under the rug. As much as grief as Boise State and TCU catch this year, Boise's win over Oregon and TCU's win over Clemson were each more impressive than anything UC's done this year.

On an unrelated note, Big East officials once again make it really, REALLY difficult not to be a conspiracy theorist when the Big East has a dog in the NC race.

And if Oregon State beats the Ducks...?

UC fan is convinced that it's the Florida/Bama loser in the Sugar. Both of whom will absolutely prison rape that defense.

I dunno. Some teams, 'Bama and Okie come immediately to mind, play miserable games in the bowls after losing the "real" game and missing out on the bowl they wanted. Come to think of it I remember an OSU team losing to Air Force in a bowl they didn't want to be at.

Kelly probably said it best during an interview, asked if the bearcats could compete with Alabama, Florida or Texas, he replied, "For one game? Yes." Acknowledging that he doesn't have the depth to play Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missou, Colorado, T Tech, week after week. Had this team played in the Big 10 this season I don't think they'd have ANY problems handling the bottom 6 teams. With this offense and assuming they wouldn't draw Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa, they might have even gone undefeated or one loss.

Against a Florida or Alabama in the Sugar? Might get raped, but let's remember that the Bucks didn't handle that assignment very well either.

what assignment?

Cincy doesn't play good defense and doesn't have a ton of depth either.

Bama does this year. So does Florida.

Always take the better defense in the bowl games. The layoff kills precision offenses like what Cincy runs.

The 2007 Fiesta Bowl, the 2008 Sugar.

Ohio State didn't play in either one of those games. :wink2:

They did play in BCS Title games in the same city as those bowls, a few days later in both cases, however.
