Great googley moogley!!! - from your keyboard to God's eyes.

I'm assuming you guys are going to win it this year. Hopefully I'm not jinxing you guys because I'm pulling for you guys to win it over whatever Big 12 team makes the national title game because I live right smack in the middle of Big 12 country and I won't be able to stand hearing these people talk about how awesome their team is for an entire year. That and I like Urban more than the 3 Big 12 coaches in the running. Though Mike Leech is hilarious.

Gators in Glendale: Meyer, Ohio State go way back

Urban still has Woody's picture prominently displayed in his home, and talks to Earle Bruce regularly.

In all of our woods there is not a tree so hard to kill as the Buckeye. The deepest girdling does not deaden it, and even after it is cut down and worked up into the side of a cabin it will send out young branches, denoting to all the world that Buckeyes are not easily conquered."--Daniel Drake

Gatorubet, thanks for the link. I guess your presence at BP may move tOSU into 2nd place on your list of favorite teams? It appears that way, anyhow. :)

Looks like Buckeye roots are tough to conquer. In other words, Meyer could still be the guy, no matter his resume as a Gator.

Seems certain to be revisited down the road, hopefully several years from now.

i think its just you. every coach seems to have that 1 special job that they would drop everything for. from what i understand tOSU is his. what i can't understand is when coaches leave their dream job for another job that pays more or is in the NFL. that makes no sense to me.
See DickRod. He was in a perfect situation for him, and I don't care how much of a prick his AD was. Now he's way over his head with a fan base that expects a minimum of the Big10 title every year. Of course if he and Bill Stewert at WVu get canned at the same time maybe he can take his old job back.

On topic, how quickly would Charlie jump at any NFL gig (even the Raiders) right now. Heck I can almost see him taking an NFL OC job just to get away from the mess he's created.

I think Chuckles has absolutely destroyed any credibility he had at ND. Couple his awful tenure thus far with the ineffectiveness of Romeo Crennel and it's beginning to look like these guys are incapable of success outside of Bellichek's shadow. I guess Mangenious would be excluded from that.

But there is already a shadow being cast over Weiss in regards to the New England video-taping fiasco, and how much of an offensive mind he actually is. It will be very interesting to see what type of demand there is for him once his gig at ND is up.

I hope for the Browns sake that he doesn't end up there some how.

I need to set my point up with two comments.

To even the casual observer, it is clear that a person with such a big ego and such disregard for others in the institution would alienate himself from university support structures. Universities know how to deal with prima donnas. However, if you want to survive in the university environment as one, you better be able to deliver the bacon.

Unfortunately, in this case, the bacon is nowhere to be seen.

That's because Weis can't help but eat the bacon.
