When Charlie sits down on the crapper, which way do his legs bend?
Crapper? He doesn't go to the crapper.

My opinion of that "he may not be the man you think he is" piece? A pathetic attempt at public relations that also says, "he may be the man you think he is".

Weis makes a valid point. People like us, who do not know him personally, have a very low opinion of him. Perhaps that is because all that we know about him comes straight out of his own mouth. Or into it. Whatever.

"The biggest problem I have," Weis says, "is people who don't know me, who have never spoken to me, think I'm an asshole."

Huh. See, if I were the coach of a team who, despite being a "traditional power," just came off a 3-8 season where my genius-led offense put up less total yards than did my punter punt.... a team which first enjoyed positive rushing yards on the season after it's 4th game of the year.... a team which was some 27 yards per game worse than friggin Florida International, I'd think my "biggest problem" would probably be something else.

Charlie's got it only slightly wrong. His biggest problem is that he really IS an asshole. His second biggest problem is that people...even those who have never spoken with him, know it.

That's a valid point.

How many articles have been printed where a former ND player or alum has said he's an ass.

How many high scholl coaches have called him an arrogant person?

I have several second hand stories of people disliking the guy.

As T.O. says "if it smells like a rat, looks like a rat, and walks a rat, it's a rat". Except this time it's true and the person we are talking about isn't married to a playboy playmate.

Let's not cut him any slack. Last year they were 3-9. :wink2:

(Warning, Rumor) LMAO! This is classic. He is trying everything to get his usual suspects to believe he is the god of college coaching...

Report: Weis projects 9-12 wins

Posted: Sunday July 06, 2008 09:43AM ET

Blue and Gold Illustrated reports that Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, coming off a 3-9 season, is "privately projecting anywhere from nine to 12 victories this year." "The only regular-season game in which Notre Dame figures to be a serious underdog is the finale at USC, so Weis could conceivably have an 11-0 team heading out there if everything comes together. At that point, anything's possible."
