CFP Semifinal: Washington vs Alabama, Sat 12/31 @ 3p ET, ESPN

He can make out with his brother on the sideline if he wants as long as he keeps winning football games.

Mentioned this previously that some fool at a political site asked how I, a liberal, could be a Buckeye's football fan knowing Tressel was a diehard Republican. My quick reply was Tress could be an Islamo-Fascist for all I care as long as he kept defeating TTUN.

Again, the main reason Woody was fired was not because he hit a Clemson player, rather because he lost to TTUN (3) years in a row.

Indeed as some sins are unforgivable ...

We now return you to Washington having no chance against the GOAT team Alabama!

I'm pretty embarrassed by Collins' comments.

But I want to defend the Colt McCoy thing. People like to forget Bama had a player named Julio Jones that was fairly decent. He was reduced to a being a blocker in the game because McElroy had broken ribs and couldn't throw the ball down the field. Both teams effectively played that game without a qb.
I don't remember that game, but if you're QB has broken ribs the idea then is to try to take out the opposing QB early to even the match?

What I remember was TX star qb was hurt and yes, a clean hit, and TX still made the game "somewhat close". Using the google Total yards TX -276 / AL - 263. Texas had (5) turnovers one being a pick six.

Also remember Saban trying an early disastrous fake punt on about the 30 yd line IIRC. hmm, sound familiar?:urban2: I digress.

Saban was very conservative except for the faked punt ?!? So let's recap, shall we. Both Saban/UFM are devout Catholics, usually er almost always have a lot of talent and too often play not to lose which drive the fans crazy! ok, only mentioned Catholics 'cause used to be a devout Catholic myself IIRC.

If you don't remember the game, you probably shouldn't comment, because you are way off base. Colt was injured in the normal course of play on a legal, clean hit.
Apologies. It was just the way you phrased it. Went back and looked at the hit, and it's really surprising such a normal hit knocked him out of the game. I also commented after reading the last few pages of this thread and had this image lingering in my head and I guess I just merged the two thoughts together.
This is a cheap shot Landon;

The game got very close at one point. I believe in the fourth quarter Texas had the ball with a chance to take the lead, but turned it over.

Both teams basically played without a qb.
