CFP Semifinal: Washington vs Alabama, Sat 12/31 @ 3p ET, ESPN

I'm pretty embarrassed by Collins' comments.

But I want to defend the Colt McCoy thing. People like to forget Bama had a player named Julio Jones that was fairly decent. He was reduced to a being a blocker in the game because McElroy had broken ribs and couldn't throw the ball down the field. Both teams effectively played that game without a qb.
I don't remember both teams too well....but I do remember the feeling that Texas' entire offense just left the field. I remember thinking Bama had a decent enough offense even without McElroy/Julio.

But your point is a valid one.

They could get a transfer. I think the rumor is that they will get Jon Gruden - they have the cap space. I know Herbstreit wants to suit up in crimson, but we all know he has too much moxie for a Saban team.

Here's one for them - former 5 star if I recall correctly:

According to a source, Michigan QB Shane Morris will pursue a grad transfer http://es.pn/2heUx9u

A source told ESPN.com that Michigan quarterback Shane Morris is planning to pursue a grad transfer. Morris will graduate from Michigan after and will be eligible immediately with one season remaining to play in . Morris was a former ESPN300 prospect who committed to the Wolverines as a sophomore in the 2013 class.

yeah I shoulda have given you a shout out, knowing you wouldn't agree with the comments... it wasn't a cheap shot that knocked him out it was freak hit.. However that game would have been much different had McCoy been in.

Gcashwell, glad you decided to stick around. Any thoughts on how this year's Alabama team compares to previous renditions?
I think, outside of having a freshmAn qb, this is the best nick Saban team at Alabama.

Of course, the sec may not be any good this year and Bama just looked better because of their competition, but we won't know that until bowl games have been played.

I am continually amazed by the defensive line and think Jonathan allen should have been a heisman finalist.

The secondary is very good, but hampered by the injuries to Jackson and Humphrey.

Linebackers are amazing. Hamilton being out for the year hurts us in short pass protection.

Offensively the OL and receivers are very good.

Harris and Jacobs have been great at RB all year. Bo has started to look like a derrick Henry clone, just faster, in the last two games.

The qb is great with his feet. Sometimes he throws a duck. Sometimes he gets confused. He's very fumble prone.

Special teams has a tendency to overpursue on kicks.

Returns are lackluster without Jackson in to receive.

The punter is pretty consistent at about 48 yds per.

freshwater is as creative as ever. He gets the passes out of the way in the first half. Infuriaties this of us who are impatient, then runs the ball against a tired defense in the second half.

God help us if we have to kick a fg. Griffith has been injured his entire career. He has a hurt shoulder now.

This team is nothing like the 2014 team, which was mentally deficient and weak. I haven't seen the usual complacency from a team defending a title.

I look for Bama to run the ball 45 times against Washington.
