forgetting for a second that he's the best CB in the draft......he should be taken in the first just because of those hilarious tweets he's sent out over the last several days.

Only bummer is really only getting to see him healthy for one year. That being said, absolutely the right decision for him...no way he should pass on the draft, particularly with his injury history and high stock right now.

Seriously. It's kind of annoying getting excited for all these recruits, finally getting to watch them play one year and flash their potential... and they're gone. Not knocking anyone, least of all Lattimore who made the right decision for sure - just wondering how Alabama, USC, and other schools stocked with NFL prospects seem to avoid this problem (at least to the same degree).

Honest assessment: Had to go. Get paid. I always believe that. But, having said that, I'm not as high on him as some of the draft analysts. He has an injury history and only one full season of tape. The best tape out there right now on him is the Penn State tape, going up against a team that thrives on the jump ball with a corner on an island. Lattimore held his own, getting beat only once on a deep ball to Blacknall in the 4th. He played solid press coverage the whole game. But is there enough out there to be able to spend a top 10 pick on him? I say, as a Browns fan, for a team perpetually picking in the top 10, probably not.
I'm not saying he's not Pro Bowl caliber. If he stays healthy and continues to build on this past season, he can be a solid pro. But it's risky for any team to take a guy off one year. (same can be said for Hooker, who I also believe absolutely had to go pro)

Marshon Lattimore - CB, Ohio State
Lattimore has average size but possesses elite foot quickness, agility, and awareness. In press coverage, he is very patient and fluid to open up and mirror underneath. He can play a variety of techniques successfully. In off coverage, he is very aware and explosive to drive on balls in front of him. He does an excellent job of locating and playing the ball down the field. He is outstanding in run support. He fights through blocks and attacks the line of scrimmage. He is a very sure tackler in space. I love the way he competes. He has all of the tools to develop into a No. 1 cornerback at the next level.
