CB Marshon Lattimore (2017 NFL Def ROY, 3x Pro Bowl, Washington Commanders)

I fully expected him to declare. And still do. I am totally in favor of a kid striking while the iron is hot.

But........if he decides to stay it would be absolutely huge. Everyone looks at the worst case scenarios - that's just human nature. All the Jaylon Smith cases, etc. But, what if he comes back, earns his degree and spearheads a NC team and THEN goes high in the draft? That would be a very special moment in the young man's life. Personally the chance to move on under that Hollywood scenario would be somewhat enticing to me. Would also probably help to have another solid year to show he is fully healed from injuries, no?

He's gotta go. I'm not even sure why there's a debate. Play football for free and risk injury or Play football for a lot of money, also risking, of course, injury? It's the easiest decision a young man can make. Take the money and run. Buckeye Nation will have your back. You owe us nothing.
Agree. But it's not a matter of owing anyone. He just may have a different plan/values.

I don't know. I guess if he wants to improve an already 1st round grade. Who knows. CB isn't the same as, say, QB. You have a great junior year and then come back and get poked full of holes your whole senior season. If Cardale had come out after the NC game he would have been the first QB taken.

1st QB taken? Uh.....no.

SIAP, but is Marshon related to Marcus Lattimore? If so, I would think that the unfortunate end to Marcus' career would be additional incentive for him to come out, which is surely the most rational choice anyway.

Spent time this year focusing my attention on Marshon Lattimore. If I were to try to come up with a nickname for him, it would be "Velcro." Because that's how attached he was to every receiver he was assigned to.

Absolutely the most amazing man-to-man cover corner I've seen, and I've been around a long, long time.

Absolutely. I remember watching his glenville highlights thinking he was a lock for the 1st round one day. His chronic injuries made me think he would be another D'Andrea. Marotti and the whole S&C crew deserve a ton of credit for figuring out how to keep him healthy.
