No idea Mili...just saw it on the screen.

Wasn't trying to dis ya...just seemed funny to me that MTV would display that he's 22 and we Buckeye fans know he's only a junior-to-be (starting this semester). Wonder if ol' EJ fibbed about his age...

Well, I'm bored as hell right now so Ive been looking through all the old posts. After seeing Fox all of last year, and EJ part of last year and this spring...who do you think the better corner is at the start of the season, and at the end?

Seeing as Fox has been the starter for two nearly full seasons, there's no reason to think that Underwood would be better, especially at the season start. Maybe with game experience he can become as good as Fox by season's end.

Fox is horrible, and will never be an NFL cornerback.

He does get way too many pass interference penalties, and I will tell you the only reason he can stay on the field is because he can hit and tackle, not because he can cover. I do not believe for an instant that Fox is our #1 CB, nor do I believe he will play the whole season at CB if JT wants to do what is best for the team and for Fox himself. Move him to safety. Salley and Fox would be an awesome combo. Probably the best COMBO since Kelly and Moore.

Underwood, and Youboty/Ginn will start by the end of the season. Fox is going to get burned to much and it is going to be obvious by midseason that a change MUST be made.

I have never been a fan of Fox at CB and I will not change now, because he still is horrible. He has been our best option, maybe, but now it is time for the kids with talent to play the position to play. Fox doesn't have it.

KillerNut: You've lost all credibility with that asinine post. Fox is horrible? Fox is going to get burned to(sic) much? If JT wants to do what is best for the team and for Fox himself, move him to safety? Get the fuck outta here with that shit already. He has yet to ever be burnt deep...ever. D'Antonio even pointed that out. I don't care if he ever becomes an NFL corner or not, that fact remains (fact, not opinion) that he is our #1 CB right now and is solid at that position, whether your racist ass wants to believe it or not.

Mili,

Don't know about the racist stuff, but you're right.

Fox is a potential AA at corner this year. He has done an outstanding job. He gives up the short stuff, but won't get burned. That's the defense: play off and don't get burnt deep. Bend don't break. That might change this season with Snyder wanting to go to a more attack style defense. But Fox is the man at corner in 04.

Fox is horrible
One does not start for 2 years at CB for The Ohio State University football team and be described as horrible.

As far as playing at the next level, I think he will draw much interest because he has established that he can play corner yet has the mentality of a safety. It seems there would be more than a few GM's out there that would "take a chance" on that type of a "horrible" player. And maybe, just maybe, he plays safety at the next level. But for right now, he is a damn good major college CB.

Wow, where did this thread come from ?

I still think that E.J. will end his career as a better cb than Fox but right now, Fox is a seasoned vet and perhaps our best cb.

E.J. is trying to prove that he is better than Ashton Youboty right now. Ashton is turning out to be a ridiculas corner but I think E.J. will squeeze past him this year for the job. We are super deep in the secondary !

Wow. That was some pretty strong stuff. I would'nt go as far as saying Fox will be AA, but he's far from horrible.

I watch Fox play and often yell at the tv " why the heck is he giving a 7 yd cushion ?" I can understand 4 yds but not 7. Someone proceeded to tell me thats what the coaches want him to play and he sticks by it. I thought he played his best game last year against Purdue. He seemed to play much tighter and played a very good game, coverage wise.

Will EJ or Youbody/Ginn surpass him? Perhaps, but he's more than adequate as a corner.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think LouisHMartinez took over Killernuts' computer.
:oh: :io:

well...ncaa2005 has fox listed pretty high dont they!!!....sorry had to get that off my chest....at the expense of all these idiots who use video game ratings to form their own opinion of a player.....what a bunch of dolts....

On one hand I admire Killer for standing beside his belief...over years... that fox is a horrible corner...no matter how assanine his belief is.....reminds me of the people saying gamble wouldnt be a first-rounder.....

On the other hand....i worry...because the definition of insanity....is one who keep doing the same thing over and over again...expecting a different result...

killer....you cant be serious....if you are....your football "expertise" is gone....

DiHard: reminds me of the people saying gamble wouldnt be a first-rounder.....

You're right in that I was stubborn in my belief that Gamble wouldn't be a first-rounder, but I did acknowledge his talent and that he would be picked very high (early-to-mid second-round is what I thought). That is way far from saying a proven two-year starter and potential all-conference and maybe all-american is horrible at corner and should be moved from the position.

ysubuck: Don't know about the racist stuff, but you're right.

Maybe I was a tad harsh with claiming KillerNut was racist is his remarks, but I see no other reason for someone to claim that a black corner who was benched because of his play is better than a white corner who has started two years at a "black" position and that the white corner is "horrible" despite everyone else's opinions.
