There is a difference between straight ahead speed and breaking speed, especially when you don't know where the break is.
There is also a difference between running is shorts and running in pads, if you played football you know both of these things.
I understand responsibility, and his responsibility is to cover the reciever across from him unless we are in a zone and he passes off his man. It is when he does not cover the reciever. If our scheme is to give up everysingle 5-10 yard out, then adjustments need to be made versus some teams because good/great passing teams can march down the field this way if we will not stop it.
Milli,
I don't think we had great corners last season, and it is telling as to how good our cb's were that we had to resort to what we did, I agree, but Underwood and Youboty have more experience, have looked good covering out WR in the spring game (pretty good recievers), and will get even better when Fox get's out of the way. Ginn is a freak, that if he can understand the system, will be the lock down corner I have been hoping for Ohio State to get for about 5 years now.
I am not trying to say I am not thankful for Fox being a team player and doing what was best for the team over the last few years, but it doesn't mean that he is a good CB. We have more talented players, that should get a chance. That is what I am saying, if they blow it then we can go back to Fox, but he is still not the CB we need.
