CB E.J. Underwood (transfer to Pikeville)

csuskeeter is a family friend of the Underwoods. Over at Bucknuts unless you tell him EJ is gonna challenge for the Heisman and he and Brandon are going to start this year he gets a little worked up. I guess I figured more people would notice it. He seems like a decent guy but he has a lot of trouble hiding his bias towards Rev's kids. If you ask him EJ should have started from day one last year.

Sheikh Youboty

I cannot take full-credit for that. Collegefootballnews.com has a recruiting all-name team: Link to All Name Team by Fiutak for 2004 w/ link to '03 which I would advise browsing through for a fun laugh. I just remembered reading it last year.

I'm also familiar with the Frank Zappa references which is why I thought it was particulary hilarious and that Fiutak was pretty cool. He did pick OSU to beat Miami in the Fiesta Bowl, too.

Nader Abdallah received an honorable mention this year, but Kent State did have 2 guys make the team this year: Guy Hurt, and Cedric Maxwell who had this description: "If his nickname isn't Cornbread five minutes into the first practice, someone on the coaching staff needs to punish the seniors."

**edit** He must've just made me think of it. I just checked it. The reference must've happened during one of my blackouts.

I am anxious to see what EJ can do on the field. He did get burned as a Frosh - but can we make a list of the number of True Frosh who started at CB and didn't get burned?

I agree Csusketeer was a bit overzealous, but he was making noise very much like EJ was ahead of Gamble last fall before he cut the thumb. That sounds outlandish, but I doubt CFB heard it from Skeeter.

That is also why I was shocked to see the players draft Youboty ahead of Underwood in the Spring game.

We are loaded at CB.

I'm curious how you guys can read what csuskeeter posts over on Bucknuts. I know my grammar isn't the best, but damn, that's the most pathetic display of writing I've ever seen. I feel like the guy on A Beautiful Mind trying to decipher code when reading one of his posts.

One of the gurus at BN did say that Underwood was supposed to play corner and that Gamble was slated to go to offense full time; until the A-1 incident.

I also agree with you about CSUskeeter....next time he writes something that doesn't make any sense I will repsond with, "excuse me stewardess...I speak jive!"
