Bradley Roby thinks he has stepped away from the dark cloud that shadowed the first half of his junior season at Ohio State, but he also knows that cornerbacks are only one play away from another storm.
“It was frustrating a little bit,” Roby said of his star-crossed start this year.
It included a suspension for the season opener due to an altercation at a bar and continued with on-field struggles, most glaringly in a win over Wisconsin four games ago and an ejection from the Iowa game two weeks ago.
“I feel like it was something I had to go through,” said Roby, all-Big Ten last year and a preseason All-American this year. “I learned a lot throughout that whole time.
“To be good at corner, you have to concentrate on the little things. It’s all about the details. You have to keep a certain mindset throughout the whole game. And if you get off that mindset, it can go bad just like this quick (finger snap) at corner.”

It's long been assumed, but now it's officially confirmed: Bradley Roby will forgo his senior season. He will partake in ceremonies honoring the seniors this Saturday against Indiana.
Bradley Roby's season probably hasn't gone according to its preseason script, but he's a dynamic, play-making athlete that will be missed next year. Best of luck at the next level, Roby.

Mixed feelings about kids leaving early (although his RS makes that fuzzy as well) but I like the idea of them getting recognition on Senior Day.

Its his time..only a few can gain from coming back..Miller can gain something..Roby can't.

Same with Shazier. Not much to gain from returning. As was the reason with Hankins leaving early. I rarely have a problem with kids leaving early. They have more things to worry about then conference titles

I was hoping
I was hoping Roby was coming back to provide a Mike Doss leader for this D, but in the summer I knew I had misjudged the situation. Nothing against Roby, this was more on me than him.
